Hi guys,

I’m newbie here but it doesn’t imply less compromise than the older ones.

In fact, as I said on the lisk forum, I’m not a coder but I’m highly invested on this. I want lisk to be huge. I totally believe in its potential.

I’ve contacted an excellent JS coder, a good friend of mine, to work together creating a great dapp for lisk in the near future.

I don’t know if we are going to succeed, but anyway, we’ll work hard.

In addition, I want to communicate you my intention of running a delegate node on a W7 workstation, as soon as the main net launches:

-   Location: Spain (NW)

-   CPU: 4.0 GHz 8-core AMD Athlon

-   GPU: GTX 660Ti

-   RAM: 16Gb DDR3

-   Main disk: SSD 512 Gb (with backups in anothers HDD's)

-   Network speed: 1 Gb/s (optical fiber)

-   UPS system: APC Pro

So If you choose me as a delegate guys, vote for TheRedHawk’s node. I’ll vote you back!

At the rate bankers are jumping out Windows and the cabal's failure to hijack Syria's banking system and oil,  I wouldn't use USD to hedge value at this point in time.   Gold fluctuates, but retains value through the ages.

what does Cuba have that the banksters are so eager to tap?

A few important things for now:

General:

- We currently plan to launch on the 11th April. This is not the exact date, just an estimate.
- At launch we will provide a client to access your LISK.
- All support enquiries please via our support center!
- I will update the BTT OP this evening with all important information.

ICO:

- The given BTC amount on our website is an estimation. Some transactions were after the time limit, so they will be refunded. The collect amount is more like 14,009 BTC.
- We will release the exact ICO numbers (total collected, satoshi price, number of participants, number of exchanges etc..) end of this week. It takes a few days to confirm every transaction by hand.
- We will also provide a list with all exchange IDs, the generated LISK address and its balance next week. So you can see if you are included.
- I will talk with Oliver and our advisers about what we do with Lin's XCR deposit. We don't want to make a crude statement.

Lisk Trading:

- Please don't buy any LISK in this forum. The owner can reset the passphrases by simply open a ticket on our support center and provide us with his email address and exchange ID. We check the data and if all is good, we will reset the passphrases.

Passphrases/keys:

- You have time to generate your passphrases until the 4th April! We will also provide a tool this week to validate if your saved passphrase is correct or not.
- If you lost the passphrases please send us a ticket on http://support.lisk.io/.
- We will provide a video and detailed instructions on how to generate your passphrases this week.
- Everyone who generated a key and lost it, will also loose access to his LISK.
- Everyone who didn't generate a key will be contacted 1-2 weeks after launch. He can then get his LISK via email. This method is not the most secure option, therefore please generate your passphrases ASAP! Also there will be a deadline after which the non-collected LISK will go into the bounty fund.

Bounties:

- We will provide exact bounty numbers next week.

This is awesome! great thinking to release the stress of failing to encrypt the wallet correctly

Most important is that the delegate should use funds not for private usage would be a waste for the delegate (way of use)

I think the best way would be to split the revenue, for example 50:50 for private usage and community/network/voter-support. The private earning is the incentive to keep up the node and provide a good delegate service. If you don't "allow" private earnings, this incentive is gone and the people care less about providing a good delegate node.

Within first 30 days after launch 1 Lisk= $5 USD.  Mark my words.  Grin

it took eth a year to do that. but you thibk lisk will do this in 30 days?

if it takes a year to build the railway line how long does it take the first scheduled train to make the journey on its rails? not a year.

Guys, a coin that gives the faucet can be sell or not?

When the real blockchain is running all coins can be sold, even the faucet. But ofcourse now not (keep in mind a faucet will never give 1000 lisk) impossible to stay alive then.

Im going to give around approx 0.01 each claime if i become an delegate.

If you're asking if the Lisk given from the faucet is sellable or not, yes it can, but it has no value since it is only TestNet Lisk.

I will vote for a delegate who splits the profit or a part of it with the people who vote for him/her.

Did the same at NXT.

Any takers. Cool

Im going to use Delegate funds (if i become one) to promote Lisk and fill the faucet of a website in development

Global Position should be taken in to account when voting for nodes. Latency for confirmations and concurrence will be important when there are only 101.

I would be cool for someone to create an interactive map that allows people here to position a pin to their general location, and make note of their hardware and possibly some type of voting mechanism until Lisk comes online. If you are using a cloud service then place your pin where the VPS is being hosted.

Additionally, I think, for whatever it is worth that the node election should be dynamic based on: vote count, density of transactions occurring to the nodes geo-position and a custom algo that measure previous reliability/performance akin to sections B6/7 of Delegate Handbook.

The team is preparing itself for a successful launch. Once Lisk is launched (hopefully successful), funds will be released to the devs.

The community and the devs are working on PR for Lisk in the meantime. It takes some time, but it should be soon.

Hey Guys

I will run a delegate Node cc001, I hope I get your votes! Who else will run one an who is planning to vote for whom?

So far I have following people on my voting list:

MalReynolds, PunkRock, Emerge, cannabanana, bigcabrito?, nextgencrypto

who else? who wants my vote and gives me his vote?   Wink

I will want to add you guys. Can I run a node on Windows VPS with GUI?

EDIT: I don't like command line on Linux.
Not directly I think. May be with some tweaks using iisnode and expressjs. I'm also trying.

Just thinking out loud:

The delegates aspect is great! Crypto democracy, voting for the best candidates, candidates campaigning which is good for marketing, visability of Lisk.
Keeping people to actively participate.

- Do you guys think delegates should also be chosen by geographic location?
- And use different servers:( AWS is the biggest with Dash masternodes I think), maybe Lisk should use many different ones, to decentralize the most...
- Is the setup similar to a masternode setup?

I think if Lisk will get the ecosystem up and running faster than the competition (ethereum, augur, ...) it could be a game changer.

There's a great Dapp idea that does this. You would be able to control your delegate profits and share them to those who vote for you.

For now, if people were to do this, they would need to do it by hand.

I think it is possible to do it with a simple script using api calls until there exists a real dapp.

so over 7mil was raised in the ico..   which a portion will be used to fund development of lisk.
may i suggest the devs hedge its value incase of bitcoin catastophy.

possibly something like this would be good idea.

50% vautoro gold
50% slit up over USDT, ETH, BTC.

just a thought..  as wouldnt want a btc crash, to also crash development of lisk.

Fuck no! Gold, USDT, ETH are way too volatile to invest our hard earned BTC in !

I suggest they convert 25% of the 7M to USD right now to get the ball rolling with new staff payroll & and keep 75% in BTC, only because BTC is supposed to rise this summer with halving.

ETH for investment, Silver for Long term investment, Gold for hedge. Drip BTC to USD or convert amounts where needed for fiat expenses. Payroll in BTC where possible. Avoid holding a lot of fiat where possible. ETH investment pays dividends twice - once with inevitable rise in price, second as I have feeling positive ETH market sentiment will have positive effect on LSK trading.
