excuse my ignorance , so does lisk run normal dpos outline in the above paper?
like will ONLY the top 101 delegates get the forging rewards?
so in reality, this will be done by 101 tech savy users (maybe less unique users tho its not recommended)
on virtual servers, with big companies, and about 99.9% uptime
so theres really no point in considering this an entry level dpos coin anyone can stake is there?
like in reality, there will be very little voting as noones gonna pay the lisk and half wont understand the whole process
except that they get no rewards, and it costs to vote for others to get ALL the rewards ;\

Coming to many crypto forums it feels a little like the sky is falling on cryptocurrency but for all the talk of the short term position of coins, there is little talk of how factors external to the performance of crypto markets, with their whale manipulators, will potentially effect the price.

Just opening a window in here....

The outlook for the global economy in the next 9 months is pretty sketchy. Growth is slowing in China and the Yuan is entering a period of Devaluation. GDP predictions in a number of western nations are being revised down. The potential UK exit from the EU will likely negatively effect both GBP and the Euro price regardless of the outcome. Hyperinflation is now starting to effect several developing nations economies. All of this is coming off the back of some of the largest (failed) QE projects in history worldwide. Add to this mix that large financial institutions are now seeming offering products very much like the CDOS that caused the craziness we saw in 2007-8 (only this time if that house of cards collapses there isn't any hope that even the strongest national economies will be able to cover those losses with bail outs).

My question is this: If we see a global implosion/ currency crisis this year (with the potential for bail-ins), would we see a greater number of investors trying to shield losses from bail-ins/ fiat devaluations using cryptocurrency investment (think Cyprus, but global).  If this situation comes to pass I feel we are likely to see a great many REAL whales with an eye to making long term investments across the crypto currency space as they flee a fiat time bomb. At that point whoever is holding, whatever amount, is likely to become very happy indeed - caveat: as long as infrastructure is in place to enable currency transactions and POS for goods and services without ever touching fiat.

There should be no rush adding Lisk into an exchange as the psychology of the markets will take a toll on those who did not invest in the ICO.

With that said, I believe the launch will occur the first few weeks after the ICO is over. After that, it should go live within a week or two on exchanges.

Keep in mind Lisk is in early development and the network needs to be heavily tested before being deemed stable.

Also, is everyone ready to become a pivotal par of Lisk and register a delegate!?

Yes you can. We will also add a validator to the ICO site to check against our public key record.

what make you think that? I think you know nothing and you're just spreading fud. Because it's very easy say that lisk will dump, but probably you were saying the same during the eth ICO, it's a fud in your advantage, probably someone will listen to you and won't buy during ico, and will wait that dump

usually the whales are taking your money. dont think it will be different here. a mass dump is written in stone already. there is no way out nor a different possibility. dont be fud, but i guess alot will pay for they fun :-)

exchanges will fight to add it. I don't know about polo, if dev have some agreement with them, but surely bittrex will add it. Lisk will be money rain, it's not something they will wait weeks for adding it.

well well well, seems like we have a great ico, I was away for a while, but this one looks really interesting, and I see there's fud. almost 8k btc, Microsoft azure, lot of pages, exchanges ready at launch, whales, we have everything for something really big. But there's people thinking this is shit, lol. As shit as they are I suggest.

Max, can we check our passphrases on the testnet? Just to be sure they unlock correct addresses?

Don't be surprised if one of the whales dumps it down to below ICO price to cause a panic, then does a buyback after weak hands fold for them.
