When does the 15% bonus thing end exactly, this Sunday? Still deciding how much I want to put into this... won't be a ton, as I'm a small fish... but just not sure how much I'll put in just yet.

I was planning on just converting my XCR over, but strangely managed to sell it above ICO value (w/bonus, that is). So it'll be a btc donation for me.

As well, I don't understand why nobody complains about the Shapeshift partnership statement.
Please, clarify what happened and what's your agreement with them.

Truth will out!
-snip-

Do you think a video would help? Smiley We can't get a vault BTC address and the money can't be moved obviously.

I hope to publish a statement as soon as possible, ShapeShift is taking a look at my draft currently.

Definitely. A video would increase confidence in the ICO.

I bought 1 btc from the ICO, i had 78800 LISK 2 days ago, now im at 65150.... whats happening?

Hi guys! I send my crypti to https://ico.lisk.io. After confirmation I saw 99714.0 my XCR to about 95000 LISK.
Now it is changed to 92326...
I have 2 questions. Is operation finished? Maybe I should do smth else to finish it?
And if it is finished why exchange rate is changing?
Read this topic and you will find the answer. Small hint: The more people buy, the less you get. Your 95000 LISK could be 65000 LISK at end of the ICO
what is this crap? you mean that the lisk that we will buy will be worth less right? and not that what we bought so far will be reduced for our balance?

"This crap" is otherwise known as "The Laws Of Mathematics".

As every one of the spreadsheets I am running below say quite clearly:

"The Lisk ICO will distribute a fixed quantity of 85 million Lisk to an unknown number of donors
As more donors contribute, the quantity of Lisk received for a particular contribution goes down
As more donors contribute, the satoshi worth of Lisk received for a particular contribution goes up
At all quantity & price combinations, the original value of a particular contribution is preserved & constant"

yawn, again?

that question gets asked so many times you could literally just pick a random page and you will get your answer.

I was deposit #43 and at that time I had 4+ MILLION Lisk,  It's down a little bit since then.

Just wanted to ask a few questions; I'm sure I could probably find all the answers elsewhere but its probably instructive for other people as well if they're answered by a coherent member of this community.

  • What are the total amounts of coins ever to be in circulation (taking into account any burning as necessary)?
  • How developed are the actual interfaces, we as users, we'll be using to interact with Lisk (such as a development IDE, block explorers, faucets, GUI wallet)?
  • What is the exact date the Lisk associated with the ICO will be released to those who have invested?
  • What exchanges are you planning on listing on? (I'm assuming you guys will try to coordinate the release onto an exchange with the time the investors have access to their coins)
  • Are there any current business relationships between the Lisk organization and a potential corporate user of the platform?
  • Will you be making public the address associated with the coinbase vault you guys have setup to coordinate the ICO?

Thanks in advanced to anyone (preferably someone directly associated with the organization) who is able to concretely answer these questions.

When will the mining of lisks start? I am a newbie so sorry if it is a stupid question.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only people too stupid to ask questions.   You obviously ain't stupid, you asked a good question.

Mining by DPos Delegates should start a week or so after genesis block distribution of Lisk, or roughly sometime in the first week of April.   The first week or so of Lisk will be run by 101 Lisk Foundation nodes, which will be replaced by individual delegates one at a time as those come online.  Max will have details.

And with Lisk it's called "forging" (in the "blacksmith" instead of the "counterfeiter" sense of that term), not mining.  Mining is a Bitcoin / Etherium term that refers to competitive generation of thousands of millions of billions of useless hashes looking for a string of leading zeros in the hash that is a "lucky ticket" declaring a particular miner to be the winner of a reward.  Forging is a cooperative  generation of one and only one necessary hash to secure the Lisk blockchain, for which you are paid a set fee when it's your turn to do it.  During the first year a Lisk forger makes 5 Lisk per block forged, which happens like clockwork about once every 17 minutes, for a total of 150K Lisk in the first year.

Lisk generating only one hash per blocktime is one of its huge advantages over Bitcoin and Ethereum and their huge waste of resources.

Lisk is literally trillions of times more efficient in CPU cycles per block generated compared to Bitcoin or Ethereum.  This is why Lisk can use really cheap computers, while Bitcoin and Ethereum are trapped forever to use a hugely expensive, wasteful and unneeded overhead infrastructure - all those warehouses full of mining rigs.

Now THAT'S stupid - and most Bitcoin and Ethereum people have no idea just how stupid it is.

Communications Lead
Hello,

First, I have read in the past few thread there is one person with a personal vendetta against Lisk. The community has given him reasonably explanations on the Lisk ICO yet he continues threading.

Let him be. Don't try to fight the cookie monster, don't try to be the white knight and make him understand, this is not happening. He has not taken any further steps to make sure how secure his investment (he's pretty upset since he HAD to invest, imo) is. There have been reasonable members who have taken the time to contact those regarding the ICO and the members holding the vault keys. I urge anyone with similar concerns to do so.

Secondly, this is not the first time a multi-sig vault wallet has been used for an ICO. Augur held the escrow in a BitGo multi-sig wallet (https://sale.augur.net/). Again, if you have concerns on the people signing the wallet, I urge you to take the time to contact them to instruct yourselves.

Third, if you invest in Lisk, be ready to get involved. Are you good in marketing? do you have coding skills? would you like to secure the network (delegate)? can you read and can you check the documentation? maybe you're good at being a critic on UI and functionalities? or maybe you want to see some future functions? Lisk needs the community and will always need them moving forward. Get involved! Even the simplest help is worth it.

Take your time and read the documentation for the ICO, do not invest blindly. After reading, join the Lisk chat and communicate openly with Lisk team. Best regards!

The only sane thing is for the total sum of ICO BTC to be set up as buy orders at exchanges around to set an initial marketcap according to the ico btc/usd price.

Then after that just dump untill consolidation. If LISK is used it cant go that low!

Yeh if you want you can just download the lisk chat and join us.
You can even talk with the dev's and ask what they are doing.

I don't believe they are here to scam people you can find there full names on the lisk website.

big red letters saying dont buy, means buy in reality.  Im in for a few $$$  some you win some you lose.

XCR seemed like big buy yet no serious price increase occured, at least not with good enough liquidity for any major investor to cash out with profit. Developers excluded. Which means XCR and now LISK developers and community are clueless when it comes to pumps and dumps which should make you think twice before investing more into this coin. Which is a clone of a coin that did not make it. Which is having as small community as XCR had unless you are dumb enough to believe value for number of participants is correct.

This ICO is a money grab by lame developers who, if they are decent people, could do it all with XCR but they burned XCR ICO money on some personal bullshits and now want even more money.

You can report as much as you want, I won't be silenced because I am asking the right question. Values you are showing at LISK website are fiction unless you can provide BTC address(es).

You're fucking stupid.  period.  The answer has been said a hundred times already.

Realy? Do you know BTC address? No. Which means you don't know the real values for BTC nor participants which are inflated to get more coins for free and attract more idiots like you. So STFU.

800+ BTC invested and 700+ participants are lies, do not invest into this ICO!

Hamburgers are delicious, don't worry about my money son.  Walk away and take your $5 with ya.

Problem is that you poor fucks are here all day long attempting to make your one hamburger multiply in two or three. Or maybe ten. And to eventualy achieve that you are going to great length which includes bitching on people like me who are saying the truth and stuff you are highly likely aware of yourself but bitching about that would make your one hamburger never multiply. Cheap bitches.

lol too stupid to read I guess.  Go take your self righteous attitude and stick it up your butt, which looks to be attached to your face.
