LISK sidechain project seeking positive delegates!

GNY HQ has issued a call for all contributing and positive Lisk community members to consider becoming a delegate on the LML network (LISK Machine Learning).
GNY are building a typescript based machine learning blockchain project, and if you invest in their ICO with LISK then they will also supply you with tokens on their Javascript-based Lisk Machine Learning blockchain.
The network will match the number of tokens 1:1. You will be receiving two sets of tokens; one set for use in the “Lisk Machine Learning” (L.M.L) blockchain, and the other set for use in the Typescript-based GNY blockchain.
The first Dapp that uses LML tokens has already been announced here.
The number of forging delegates on each chain is expected to be 101.
Delegates will be required to signal ownership of 187500 GNY tokens in their wallet and on confirmation of making voting position the tokens will lock.  Delegates can unlock tokens at any time instantly removing themselves from delegate position.
Voting weight on the LML system will only count votes from locked wallets on the system. This reduces voting weight coming from exchange hot wallets.
Future delegates who are interested in receiving delegate information packs about the network can send an email requesting to be on the list. Please send emails to this address: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

From the looks of things LISKHQ are busy travelling the world going on holidays meetup events with their big ICO funds. Hopefully they will do something about this voting system soon and spread the delegate wealth a bit more, this will add both value and credibility if the monopolies are ended

I hope so too that they will consider to doing that in near future. More passive income for people will give us more interest to keep our bags... Grin Grin

Sherwood's initiative against the Elite cartel - week 2

The Sherwood pool http://robinhood.liberspirita.net/ incentivises breaking up the Elite group by giving a bonus for unvoting their members. Now, 14 days later, I wanna share my little earnings comparison. Within two weeks I´ve received (rounded) 34.5 LSK from Sherwood (4 Delegates). During the same period I would have gotten approx. 9.5 LSK from Elite (54 Delegates).
Lisk, one of the greatest coins nowaday on cryptocurrncy world, big potential is there to explode very soon. Price will  rise up sooner or later

Why lisk coin price dumping like that? today the price of lisk coin is only 0.00047078 BTC I invested a big amount in this coin but the price dropping sharply!! But I have believed in this coin, Hope soon lisk coin price would recover. I got an update form the twitter page: https://twitter.com/LiskHQ/status/1050729927958511617

That is the question you build LISK for javascript developers...to use to make coins and tokens and apps..what if no one shows up? Ack!

.................

do you mean that devs did not appear, determining an useless tool ?? this is critical.

I mean the 'premise' is that folk that know javascript will embrace lisk and use on their own projects as a tool and blockchain

not seeing much of that yet...so they built this javascrypt app for a blockchain to use...where are the devs? Some sure...

but not as much progress nor hype as last year...thus stuff seems to have 'waned' big time...

brad

thank you so much for expressing a clear opinion on that.

Is there somewhere accessible, a list of achievements made by external devs when using LISK support ?

so, Searing, after a week without response or discussion, the conclusion is clear.

yeah..after 'poking that bear' it kinda sucks...no javascript types have 'slap'd me down' saying they are using LISK yet Sad

does liskHQ come here anytime ? to support his creation ?

Sherwood's initiative against the Elite cartel - week 2

The Sherwood pool http://robinhood.liberspirita.net/ incentivises breaking up the Elite group by giving a bonus for unvoting their members. Now, 14 days later, I wanna share my little earnings comparison. Within two weeks I´ve received (rounded) 34.5 LSK from Sherwood (4 Delegates). During the same period I would have gotten approx. 9.5 LSK from Elite (54 Delegates).

This shows once more how much we're being exploited by this group whose main intention is "keeping most of the block rewards for personal gains". The Sherwood initiative is a good opportunity for a change - finally with prospects of success, because Elite keeps moving downwards. → https://liskmonitor.com/lisk-delegate-charts/

Please keep in mind: Elite needn't become "extinguished" at all costs. Goal is to break the power of their 54 active forging Elite delegates and encourage them to become a pool with a reasonable number of members. In this regard, also consider u/4fryn's latest article at Medium → https://blog.goodaudience.com/the-time-for-independent-lisk-delegates-has-come-2e70db451319 as well as his Lisk Unvote Manager. → http://uncartel.4fry.net/

By the way: The Lisk reward "halving" (reward reduction from 4 to 3 LSK per new block) is almost here: http://www.liskdelegate.io/ After this, Sherwood will rise the share rate of their 50% delegates to 60%. Which other delegate(s) would do this?

Disclaimer: I´m neither a Sherwood delegate nor connected/extra-rewarded to/by them in any way. I just wanna support their initiative, cause imho it´s the best what can happen to change this current, disreputable Lisk DPos "cartel" situation.

Hey people, I used Lisk wallet one and a half year ago and because of certain problems I had to leave Lisk community and support. It seems to me that DPOS a little bit complicate than it was before.
How much need to have Lisk in my LiskHub to vote for a delegate?

1 lsk will allow you to vote for 33 delegates, pickupcoin.
4 lsk will allow you vote for all 101.

If you look at ethereum many of the tokens on it's platform has grown in value significantly more than ethereum itself. By switching from ETH to something else like CVN you would have experienced huge gains today. Doing the same with LISK and it's ICO DAPPs might bring similar profits.

LISK dumping is continuing and not looking good. I wonder if it is a better idea to move all LISK into one of these LISK ICOs instead like Mandana. Hopefully their product will rise in value and you get more bonuses is you invest using LISK
I think that to move all lisk to one of these lisk icos is even more risky than holding LISK,

how does (or not) does the LISK blockchain gain value from say any of these ICO's?

is there an increase in worth for each app on the lisk blockchain in some manner as each may be added?

thanks

Sherwood's initiative against the Elite cartel - 7 days later

Sherwood pool incentivises breaking up the Elite group by giving a bonus for unvoting their members. Now, 7 days later, I wanna share my little earnings comparison. Within one week I´ve received (rounded) 21 LSK from Sherwood (4 Delegates). During the same period I would have gotten ca. 4.7 LSK from Elite (54 Delegates).

This shows once more how much we're being exploited by this group whose main intention is "keeping most of the block rewards for personal gains". The Sherwood initiative is a good opportunity for a change, finally with prospects of success - Elite is clearly moving down. Just consider the latest Delegate Charts for Lisk. And/or learn more at https://medium.com/@4fryn/its-happening-lisk-elite-is-rapidly-falling-7266322a770b

By the way: Lisk reward "halving" (reward reduction from 4 to 3 LSK per new block) is almost here, around two weeks to go: http://www.liskdelegate.io/ After this happening, Sherwood will rise the share rate of their 50% delegates to 60% - which other delegate will do this?

As someone who followed the project since its ICO days, it is absolutely fascinating to see where it went. As far as I remember, pools weren't even a concept back then and the general idea was to vote for delegates who would use the rewards to fund projects working on top of Lisk.

Now, being a pool seems to be downright mandatory.

What I find also very interesting is that a lot of the hyped smart contract based projects, such as EOS and Tron, use variants of DPoS as their consensus mechanism, but I haven't seen a mention of Lisk anywhere. I am not completely sure whether Lisk(or Crypti, for that matter) was the first DPoS blockchain, but you'd think as the longest running chain with the biggest marketcap, it would be worth taking a look at it. I don't mean as an investment or something, just as a similar project, to see where the journey is going.
