Being dropped by pools means a lot about the future of this coin. It is still on exchange and yet zergpool has let it go.
Many same aspects of LTC but 1/4 the time for halving to occur... and yet worth pennies. Now do you see halving means squat?

The only reason you see a blip in mining is due to your post. Waking people up to the coin. Marketing is the ONLY way a coin grows in value. Nothing else.

Hello elmo40, thank you for your message. The idea behind Bitcore is to emulate Bitcoin during the halving process. Therefore, Bitcore will always halve in the same year as Bitcoin. We are aware that this alone is not enough to build a large community. That’s why we are also attempting to burn excess BTX with the resources available to us. However, even burning coins may only have an effect in the long term. We can only strive to provide a solid framework for crypto enthusiasts.

I am in contact with Zergpool. Alternatively, I can also recommend aikapool.com/btx.

Are You still active Christian? ...

Dear community,

the first halving of Bitcore was successfully completed.
Everything went smoothly, and the network is running securely.

Is BTX getting delisted from Freiexchange Huh

Nope it is still listed there and no notice up about any delisting. Anyway if it did get delisted they would put it onto the feirexlite exchange with LTC pairing.

What makes you think this?

They no longer have the BTX market listed on coinmarketcap which is usually what exchanges do before delisting a coin so nobody uses the link to go and buy it from that exchange?

No one can tell. Frei exchange is experiencing turmoil at this point in time. No certainty. Time to charge bitcore with nifty superblocks for lucky bits winning. This might propel the adoption and get principal stance on the arena of altcoin making but this should be thought through before it gets implemented. On chain lottery is what everyone needs to feel themselves relatable to crypto and deliver extra on-chain usage.

You are delusional.
Market hype is 99% the reason for a coin's price.
Demand means nothing.
"I will make halving occur to create scarcity'... prices NEVER reflect halving occurrences. All the blips you see are simply from 'market fluctuations' mainly created by a twit or yt vid.

In fact, I bet if the reward for this old chain became 0.0000001, you will not even notice the price change.

Burning still doesn't make the coin 'worth more'... Neither does halving.
The ONLY thing that makes it worth more is marketing hype.
Marketing hype might play a part in some coins, but with crypto the price is basically determined solely by demand.  If there are any other factors, I can't think of them.

BTX is one of those altcoins that might be useful as a currency, but then again the same is true for any coin that has a low network fee and fast confirmation time.  Alas, nobody is using crypto to pay for things.  Still, BTX is still on my radar for some reason I can't fully articulate.

Today I tried to buy something that cost 40 dollars with BTC and was just about to send it until I saw it would cost twice as much as the item was worth to send it on chain. How come BTX is not worth more than BTC right now???

Because nobody is buying it?  Grin

BTC is worth so much because it is 'the first'. Everything else just follows.

More than 60,000 BTX have already been burned.

That is indeed an intriguing question. Currently, our 20 MB blocks are far from being fully utilized. In general, every other project is simply not BTC. In my opinion, this situation is unlikely to change significantly. Therefore, users may be looking for more cost-effective methods to securely send their coins in the future. BTX is definitely prepared for that.
