Bitcore used to be all hype. Now the devs have made the majority of the community move on to something else.
They have not answered any of the questions from the community.
They keep bringing shit exchanges.
They hold a ridiculously large amount of Bitcore.
They have no marketing campaign.
All new investors will see this as a big scam. The devs literally ruined their own project.
I agree in some points with what you wrote.
And i even see the points gwestcot said between the lines.
1) Repeating over and over again, that the folks should HODL does not make anything better at all.
2) This coin does not need every shitty exchange that is growing besides the street. Implementing them is way more harm than benefit.
3) The large amount of bitcore they are holding... Well, some months ago they started to move the dev funds, which were stated clearly before because they could be seen easily, to a ton of wallets, that are digging in the depth of the explorer. Security was stated as reason, as far as i remember. Fine, a simple paper wallet might have worked as well, Bitcore offers this option. BUT - the largest amount in their hands was and is still kept in ONE single wallet - the airdrop one. So the given reason for moving the dev funds can´t be true.
4) Marketing... Oh well... (worldwide) TV commercials... i could not believe it when i read it the first time at the roadmap - and i still can´t believe it. Whoever had this idea - forget it as fast as it came to you. Someone stating this has NO clue about marketing at all and the costs of such promotions. Just make the effort and browse some TV websites and you will find their asks for placing a commercial. And if you might think, radio is cheaper - a little bit but not that much.
5) Gwestcot (at least i think it was him) brought BTX to livingroomofsatoshi. That was a great thing and still is. The first real USE CASE for this coin. So we should say at least thanks for this.
6) I was one of those who asked in a PM about the possibility or plans for a simple to use interface for a mobile device, that allows to accept payments in bitcore (you know, typing in the amount that has to be paid in fiat, calculating the corresponding amount of BTX and creating the address... ) no answer received, not even a no. So yes, there is a lack of communication.
7) That gwestcot gave up must have its reason. Talented devs are great, and the technical thing might be nice - BUT every prduct needs a serious marketing to become successful in the long run.
I said it before, and i repeat myself: write a damn whitepaper. That is your business card. That is your reputation. Work the things up from the ground and don´t sit there and make headless moves.
