So since the airdrop will increase by 1% every month, that means that airdrop coins will eventually run out, is there an estimate when last aidrop will happen ?

As far as I remember around Feb/March 2018.

Apparently it can cost up to 150 btc for a full 5 year listing on hitbtc. That's an extraordinary sum, nearly a million dollars.
How do you know?

Volumes on hitbtc is huge!!! And POLO?

Good volume on the new exchange!  Keep it up guys Smiley

Holding 1400 BTX and have followed it since $1 days

i am with btx since day one.
now I have almost 1k btx and recently i invested 18k usd in eth and dash, and 2k usd in metal, right after btg fork. i should have bought btx instead.. Sad . now i have another 15k waiting for btx price to drop a little..

As after the 25% airdrop, btx price didn't drop but rise stable, I suggest you to invest not too late. The earlier you invest, the more you get (including the Compound interest).  Wink

Now if i buy more coins do i need to sign again a message or is no more needed since i already join airdrop?

If you send the coins you have bought to the address you have registered you're good to go.

Bitcore (BTX) - The Future is Now
Got this week's airdrop yesterday. The stress-test was a very impressive feat, congratulations! However, I think a lot of people (including me) will not claim the distributed BTX in the near future. I was waiting for Segwit2x and planned to combine splitting of BTC (if necessary), and claiming Bitcoin Gold and BTX. Now with Segwit2x cancelled and the future of Bitcoin Gold uncertain I am reluctant to move all my BTC to a new wallet, and I do not want to expose my private keys without doing it. Anyway, the amount of BTC I hold and the corresponding amount of BTX is small. I suspect a lot of people have similar thoughts.

Why can't this claiming round be not done like the last round with signing a message?

I find it highly unpractical to move all my coins from one TREZOR to another HW wallet so that I can impirt my private key into the BTX wallet. As I have different Cryptos on my Trezor, I would incurr quite some TX fees. In addition I need to reshuffle my recovery seed backup and create a new seed. I find that too much of a hassle.

I will rather buy an additional few dozen BTX on an exchange to benefit more from the weekly 3% airdrops.

This style of airdrop has no expiration date, it also takes a large chunk of the pre-mine out of the devs possession, which helps any chance for listing on a large exchange.

Anyway to get this second airdrop in a similiar way like the first one? Where you just sign a message proving ownership of the BTC address?

EDIT: Seems this was asked many times.

So is there a deadline to claim this airdrop or is it like CLAM where its your forever?

too much work for the devs.

this way the coins are always there to be claimed and there's no more care taking needed. they got other things to be getting on with.

The difference between Bitcore and Bitcoin is only the block size?
larger blocks means less security, that's why bitcoin keep the block size low.. am i wrong in something?
Wrong about everything actually. Plenty of differences between BTX and BTC, larger blocks means more disk usage for full node operators in exchange for more transactions per block meaning lower fees. Has nothing to do with security.

but larger blocks means bigger blockchain, that means less nodes, that means less security..
There is a reson why bitcoin does not enlarge the block size, no?
Yes because it's a stupid trade off, does not scale well at all.

The 10+10=20MB block size is only theory to make it future proof.
Have a look at the Bitcore Block Explorer and you will recognize that currently the blocksize is only a few kB.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx
As long as the transaction volume does not exponentially increase, there is no increase in blocksize and the whole blockchain does not require mich storage space.
