I think there is a confusion btween the people included me about the BTC holders on 2nd of november.
So is it 1 Btc for 0,5 Btx or %50 in Btx of the value of 1 Btc( example 1 Btc $5500= $2750 in Btx) ?

I still think that is the second option... Can somebody confirm?

Thank you!

I would really appreciate if we can list this coin on many other exchanges. Perhaps we have to declare an BTX Foundation so we can collect some coins to get this coin to Bittrex or Bitfinex. This is a legit project and still very undervalued.

The final distributionmodel

Dear Bitcore-Community,

Bitcore pulled through the first six month and we were able to tap some new exchanges. The community grew very fast and we are pleased to see that Bitcore is a shining example in the altcoin scene.
By interaction of the community and all members, we were in the position to find the perfect solution for the distribution.

We will snapshot the current Bitcoin Blockchain and  transfer every address with minimum 0.01 BTC, 50% of the credits in  Bitcore (BTX).
This way, each private key of the Bitcoin network has simultaneously access to 50% credit in BitCore at any time and without a claiming service.
All previous Airdrops were Claiming Service or Blockchain Forks. Now that we transfer all the coins, we can put the network through a exciting stress test as well as offer a unique play :-)
(The first coin which sends more than 5 million outputs in its own Blockchain.)

Every Exchanger, BitCoin service or single user who owns the private key can access their credit at any time, without help, through a BitCore Client.

We will distribute about 7 million BitCore into the stage and start with this process after the snapshot and estimate to require some weeks to complete.

Also, we have a special surprise for all our loyal bitcore holders on october the 30th.
Every registered bitcore holder with a wallet loaded with minimum 1 BTX gets an special onetime airdrop of 25% instead of 3% !

These and all other Airdrop will be only paid to registered addresses with minimum 1 BTX. Please register your address on https://bitcore.cc/airdrop.php
It is important that your credit BTX is stored on your registered address. Addresses which are not registered receive NO BONUS!

Please check in the explorer if you have taken the correct address which displays the credits > https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/

Also we will be increasing our weekly 3% monday airdrop by 1% every month. You have to sign up your BTX address ONE TIME with a signed message.

We reserve the rights to make changes as required.

Your Bitcore Team

REMEMBER : The claiming at bitcore.cc from the April snapshot will end exactly November, the 2nd, 2017, 12 pm CEST (UTC +2).
The new btc snapshot will be on November, the 2nd, 2017 block 492820 (estimate).

Importing private keys is not the way to go.It brings uncertainty to the user.

Signing a message with the address would be ideal.

This is far from ideal, as you are showing ownership of Bitcoin through a single IP, even if it's behind a proxy. All Bitcoin tx's you ever made will be linked/combined to 1 entity.

It still sounds better than importing your keys.

Importing keys is fine, if you transfer Bitcoin balance away and never ever use the address again. Whichever method used, all kinds of airdrops/forks off of Bitcoin compromise the one who controls the private keys in one way or the other, by combining tx's to single outputs.

Ouch ... importing BTC private keys into Bitcore wallet, many will not like this.

I agree with that statement. Can you guys give us the option to claim BTX the "old way"?  I would much rather go through the "claiming service" than expose my private key.  Thanks

Importing private keys is not the way to go.It brings uncertainty to the user.

Signing a message with the address would be ideal. This has been done before on an earlier airdrop of BTX. Go to the website - check your balance on the snapshot- sign a specific message with your addresses - claim your BTX.

Simple, secure, tested and no one has a problem with it.
Why would you even consider an other way?

In opposition to the old "signing service" the DEVs are going to get rid of most of the premine this way. With the signing service they would have to hold all the claimable coins.

QUESTION ABOUT THE 7 MILLION BTX DROP:

What I'm unclear about is: some people are saying that it's 0.5 BTX for each BTC.

But based on their announcement, it sounds like they are going to evenly distribute the 7 million coins to all the addresses holding 0.01 BTC (e.g. 7 million addresses holding 0.01 = 1 BTX per address).

Thank you!

But it would be amazing if some exchanges would do the work and credit btx to all their btc hodlers. Have there been contact with cryptopia, and other exchanges regarding this?

Definitely. I would also very much like to see some distribution through exchanges.

So just learning about Bitcore.  So in order to participate in the airdrop, I have to sign the message AIRDROP in my BTX Wallet.  That requires me to download the entire BTX blockchain correct before I can sign the message?  Right now the client says it will take me 13 weeks to download the blockchain.  Do I have to download the entire blockchain to sign the message?  If I do, is there a place where I can download an up to date copy of the blockchain to speed up this process?  Thanks guys!

the entire blockchain is still small in size, you will download it in no time (even with an average internet connection)

You were right.  Already synced.  Thanks.

This or i dump

You do realize you can easily be on the safe side by just moving your Bitcoin to a new addrees after the snapshot and then using your "old" private keys to redeem your BTX.

I don't think many people will bother to claim the new btx. It is not worth the risk moving coins from cold storage for $5.

But it would be amazing if some exchanges would do the work and credit btx to all their btc hodlers. Have there been contact with cryptopia, and other exchanges regarding this?

It’s not actually $5... For example if you have 1 Btc in wallet cousts $5500, you ll receive Btx with value $2750(%50)
I would like to ask what time untill we need to have the Btc in our wallets to catch the snapshot on 2nd November?

plz check your maths.

you will receive BTX... 50% of the quantity you have in BTC. Have 1 BTC? you get 0.5 BTX
I was too optimistic 🎃
