I'm only aware of Bitcore since less than an hour ago. I was intrigued by it appearing in the Top 200 at WorldCoinIndex and started to do some basic research. Now I'm really intrigued!
I will have to find a way to buy some Bitcore. Unfortunately it isn't available at Bittrex. I wonder how difficult it is to open an account at Cryptopia...
Hi, I was in the same position as you two weeks ago. It is quite simple, I use bittrex mainly and I managed to buy some BTX on cryptopia without any issues (although as an Ethereum guy I find quite annoying how long does it takes to send bitcoin and how much does it cost...).
Just don't forget to transfer them to your wallet so you get weekly airdrops!
I had opened an account at Cryptopia 30 minutes ago. It was no hassle at all. To the extent that I'm worrying there might be a catch somewhere
I have an account at Bittrex too. But it required authentication of identity, which took almost 2 days, before I could actually use the account to trade. I haven't done anything at the Cryptopia account yet. I sure hope there won't be any obstacles when I transfer some BTC to it, and then buy BTX.
Yes, I'm often irritated by the BTC transaction time and fee. Taking out BTC from Bittrex will incur some charge. But the transactions from it to any BTC account tend to be fast. Usually it's included in the next block...due to the higher mining fee that Bittrex tend to pay.
When it comes to BTC transfers, I've found that doing so from certain wallets provide more flexibility. Like with a desktop Electrum wallet, or Blockchain.info. But will have to risk it if we tweak the mining fee. I've had mixed results. Sometimes even a very low fee was good enough to get into the next transaction. But there was one time when my cheapskate experiment with the fee resulted in the transaction taking 19 hours! Opting for "Regular" probably provides the best bang for the buck.
