The transition was very smooth with only a few blocks having a low diff.
Congrats to the devs, this is rarely the case when changing the diff algo.
Hashrate should drop significantly soon, with a diff in the 20's range.
Thanks! Yes it seems so far so good. It is important people realize the low diff right after the fork is normal, KGW uses historical data to establish is diff levels and because kittehcoin's historical difficulty was (excuse me) fucked up, the first set of diff fluctuations were low. As you can see from the block explorer it is doing its thing- it
was moving between a diff of 0-4 right after the fork block then it started getting dialed in and now it looks like its moving between 9 an 40. This will continue to improve as we put distance between us and the forkblock.
Keep pushing your pools to update if they have not already. The pools now listed on kittehcoin.info are ONLY those who have updated. I am updating the list immediately as operators respond to me. Please only mine at updated pools until your poor operator of choice confirms the update (or we confirm it).
I am working on getting a 10.7+ Mac wallet for those users with older macs, should have it later today with more news!
