Mosaic's work have 2 features in the platform. The main feature is the decentralized research platform, smart contracts, pay researchers for contributing good research. Staking mechanism which helps prevent shenanigans who run plan social media, Pumps and Dumps, misinformation, bring regulators down and Mosaic wants to stop that. Mosaic is a decentralized network where only vetted researchers can submit rigorous research.

The community can upvote quality work and downvote those of low quality.

The technology not only incentivizes researchers for high-quality, unbiased content, but rejects contributors posting content for personal gain.

Malicious users who may attempt to manipulate public perception via consistent upvoting of low-quality (or downvoting of high-quality) material will see their accounts lose influence over time.

Low quality research content will be placed in a bucket and the researcher will loose their token and will be put back in the pool for staking.
We expect this staking mechanism, in conjunction with the requirement for users to submit their real identities when joining the network, to promote content of excellence while simultaneously penalizing spam, misinformation, or low-quality comments.

To solve the problem about misinformation and spam, the developers created the Mosaic token (MZX) staking system, which is the component of their protocol (MMIP) that is built to disincentivize spam and misinformation. The underlying mechanism is in fact quite simple: every time a user posts content on Mosaic, they are required to place in a smart contract escrow a certain amount of their MZX. The Mosaic smart contract holds these tokens in reserve for an amount of time. If a substantial number of people downvote the content during this time, the network keeps the tokens and places them into a predesignated pool to reward future contributors. If the content is not downvoted, then the MZX tokens are returned to their original owner.

What is the advantage of Mosaic MZX token holding?

Rewarding people who are in the platform that provides quality posts and accurate predictions, might be doubled rewards.
