Musicoin Mining Pool

http://music.orchardcoins.com/

Example:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool music-asia.orchardcoins.com:8008 -allcoins 1 -epsw x -ewal 0x668e063ac444798acc5608a4046c56046338039f -eworker miner1

Do you think that you'll add any US servers to your pool?

There are no plans at the moment, at least not until the number of miners increase.

Still, please don't hesitate to give it a try. We have miners from Latin America and Europe (and occasionally US). They never had any issues connecting.

I've tried Asia and EU servers versus US and I always get quite a bit less shares accepted.  Thank you for the quick response though.

"Shares Accepted" is a proof of your work. Depending on the pool, you will get varying share count per minute.

Low difficulty pools will make you submit more shares. Conversely, high difficulty pools will make your rig submit shares less often. It is advisable to submit shares not very often (every few minutes is a good number). If you submit a share every 5 seconds or so, you are using extra network traffic unnecessarily.

As long as you are submitting shares before a block is found, "shares per second" is not a very useful metric.

Here's a breakdown of the difficulty my pool supports:

low difficulty - less than 40MH:

medium difficulty  - less than 1GH:
music-asia.orchardcoins.com:8008

high difficulty - above 1GH:

I have some musicoin on an exchange. What do I have to do with my coins? Do I have to trasnfer to some desktop wallet in order to get new coins? thanks

There won't be any new coins from this hard fork. It's a blockchain software upgrade.

Could someone can explain to me why the mining of this coin is still so easy and profitable. Isn't there enough coins on the market. Why the project needs more coins?
Thank you

The nonprofit system for coins, 100% of the profit to the musicians, is a very rare, fair and healthy platform.

Hi,

I'm trying to run Musicoin 1.0.1 wallet but when the wallet opens I cannot see anything there - it's just a black window with nothing showing up. Previous version was working fine though.

Any ideas how to fix that?
Wait a bit longer, build made with last NW.js version after all (Windows, beside legacy and Linux versions).
I had a small delay on first launch too.

If you hold your coins in the Musicoin wallet, you should upgrade to the latest version before the Musicoin hardfork scheduled for block 2,222,222.  Wink

Musicoin is dead lol

Too early you say this.
The project is still running and will continue to be developed by the Team.
Just waiting for good news to come.  Cheesy
