Is there anything special we have to do in order to get on this list?

Haven't figured that out yet. I did submit a request.

Nah,

Slow, methodical, steady....those are the operative terms. We don't want to see crazy volatility, 1000% rises followed by 90% falls, etc. The coin was built for the long term. We don't want to be an overnight success. Those don't last.

Like Steve Jobs said, "'Pixar is seen by a lot of folks as an overnight success, but if you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time."

Very well said.  Steady and sustainable rising value may denote a more likely path this baby is taking.  Straight to the moon sounds exciting but DNotes supporters will have to do a lot more heavy lifting. We will have to do a lot more good stuff that our competitors can’t or wouldn’t do. Making a serious attempt to drastically involve women participation could be one of them, as proposed earlier. Need some leadership here to take this great idea to the moon … !

Absolutely correct. This is the path to long term success and "lasting value".

On another note... anyone interested in setting up vote to see which group/s we would want to start a fund for? I would be willing to collaborate and help organize.
Dnote is indeed a community coin growing every day, now number 125 on http://coinmarketcap.com/all.html and valued 132 satochi on cryptorush.

I usually don't need to worry about backing up my wallets because I don't normally stick with any coins for an extended period.

I was able to necro the drive long enough to boot up and grab my wallet and some other important things, but I suppose I need to add a new harddrive to my list of junk to blow the last of my cash on.
5$ usb stick x 4 = 4 less chances of having to depend on luck to recover your wallet.  Also I wonder if anyone has heard of someone protecting their coins from an emp or solar flare?  That would be cool and funny at the same time.  Depending on the size of the catastrophe it may be worth it, you never know, lol!

Well, my main harddrive failed overnight. So I very much probably lost all of my 100,000 or so DNotes.

Oh wow, that really sux man. I am sorry.

For everyone else, backup backup backup! After any deposit into your wallet, backup. And then copy the file to multiple places. The process takes 15 seconds. And can save you a bazillion.

But Hoodoo, do you have any old backup files from the last week or three? If do, then just load that up to a new wallet, and the blockchain should update your wallet to the right amount, yeah?

Sorry I haven't been really active here or doing any work or mining lately. I've been having issues with my bank regarding my new hardware purchases.
Combined with school and my birthday tomorrow, I unfortunately just haven't had the time to devote myself to anything and won't be able to for another couple days at the least.

If the Dev has anything that he'd like to see me work on, or anyone has anything to say specifically to me, just shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do when I get time. I haven't been and probably won't be actively monitoring the thread until next week.

My mining absence is universal, and as always, DNotes has my complete support. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and happy mining before the rewards drop, everyone. Wink

Happy Birthday TheHodoo. Our very best wishes to you. Hope everything works out for you.

interesting spike we had =)

Interesting, can't see the history on cryptorush at the moment.

Me neither. But from what I remember this morning, the story is the same as we are seeing on allcoin. Allcoin seems to be a bit more jittery, but the NOTEs has been around like 70 satoshi there, and now is well over 100. Same with cryptorush, in that there is increasing volume, but increasing price too.

Going to unload the few litecoin I have and set a few buy orders when I get home tongiht.
