Yeah, I would love to see this thing on Cryptsy....

We would be interested in being listed on Cryptsy and someone started a thread on their helpdesk for us:
https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000001298

If the Dev has anything that he'd like to see me work on, or anyone has anything to say specifically to me, just shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do when I get time. I haven't been and probably won't be actively monitoring the thread until next week.

Thank you TheHodoo!
Hopefully we get a few more bounty submissions soon, so we can end a few of the contests you submitted to.

Looks great! Thank you

Sorry I haven't been really active here or doing any work or mining lately. I've been having issues with my bank regarding my new hardware purchases.
Combined with school and my birthday tomorrow, I unfortunately just haven't had the time to devote myself to anything and won't be able to for another couple days at the least.

If the Dev has anything that he'd like to see me work on, or anyone has anything to say specifically to me, just shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do when I get time. I haven't been and probably won't be actively monitoring the thread until next week.

My mining absence is universal, and as always, DNotes has my complete support. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and happy mining before the rewards drop, everyone. Wink

Having been a miner myself, constantly seeking greener pasture or the best spot to pick low hanging fruits before others was my way of life. Unfortunately, I ended up wasting much time in frustration on many failed or rough launches that have been the rule rather than the exception. Learning from those experiences, much time and investment has been spent to do a lot of things differently. However, a lot of our strategic plans will only become more apparent over time.  The law of supply and demand should hold true. However, the proportional value adjustment may take sometime to settle. Smart investors often see this gap as a buying opportunity. We will certainly be monitoring this attentively.

We firmly believe that our focus is to build a strong community while creating other valuable assets to ensure that DNotes will be the digital currency of the future with lasting value.

Unfortunately for the overall mining community, I think you are right. Awful launches and shoddily constructed foundations are the rule. I've not been mining for all that long, but I don't think I've seen a single coin launch flawlessly. Except DNotes. That is huge, because it speaks volume about the Devs ability to execute.

I work for a pretty innovative company with an amazing future technology. And I've got a grad degree in Technology Management. So I can most certainly tell you that the parallels to bringing new tech into the world are striking. There are graveyards full of great ideas that never had any impact because the ideators didn't have the ability to execute on them.

In the altcoin world, lets look at Heavycoin. Just launched, and has some super innovative ideas (particularly the bit about crowdsourcing block rewards). But their launch was bullshit, and the insiders were able to instamine like 8 million of a total of 65m coins. It would basically be like our devs just keeping the premine, rather than giving it up in the form of giveaways and miner rewards.

Execution is always the key. Execution itself equates to massive competitive advantage. When you couple that with  a long term vision, you've got a winner.

This is why I believe strongly in DNotes. And I'm not just saying that. I'm voting with my dollars, and my mining time. I'm buying up what people are selling on exchanges. I'm mining NOTE exclusively. And will continue to do so for the foreseeable future (thank you Kimoto Gravity Well for making it feasible for the small guy to mine long term!!!).

I'm excited to see how the next few days play out.

Are there any initiatives to bring DNotes to an other exchange?

It may drop, just because 250 is not 1000 Smiley But 250 is still 250, why stop if you were mining on the assumption they're worth it? I'm still mining BTC at like 0.0000001 a day or something. But that's more than 0.

I also think, and by many comments here other as well, that there is something to this coin, and I think many will keep on mining like there was no change in reward at all.

Plus the bounties and giveaways and faucets - why not keep mining AND get some "free" coin too - it just keeps adding up.

Unfortunately, I couldn't change my birthday Wink So the hourly giveaway tomorrow falls just a tad shy of the reward drop. But I also plan to keep having various bonuses and giveaways, not only to hopefully grow the pool, but to a) reward and keep those currently mining, and b) hopefully entice more DNoters onboard.

Which is mostly what the "fees" are for. I'm mining too, so making my own coin Smiley, and paying the fee, and donating 10%, so that the pool wallet continues to have funds to give back. Like I mentioned, my birthday just came at the wrong time, but I had already planned to, and still do, some bonus/giveaway in the near future once the reward DOES drop just to kind of say "well, yeah, 250 isn't 1000, but it's still worth mining, and here - if you keep on it, I'll get ya some bonuses here and there to thank you"

I would venture to agree with you that "there is something to this coin". The Dev. has been more interested in building a very solid foundation for the long haul instead cashing out and move on. There is a strong focus to create asset value through related ventures that are vital to DNotes' infrastructure while generating a robust source of funding. It is also providing significant opportunities for key supporters to participate.

This is certainly going to be an interesting period of time for DNotes in the cryptocurrency world. With high rewards in the beginning, for a long period of time, now ending in just a few days. We are very excited to see how the story of DNotes starts to unfold.

You folks bring up a good point around something I have been wondering the last few days. I mean, I'm all in on this coin. So I'll keep mining when the reward is over. But it would be interesting to hear the dev's thoughts on plans/ideas/stratagems for keeping the mining robust when the reward blocks are over. I feel like there is the potential for an exodus of miners once the block reward drops.

Any MBA hot shot or just someone who lives by the law of supply and demand to help us out with this discussion?  Can certainly use some help here. This could be a good case study for business school, and, at the least, help some miners to decide, in a more objective manner to “hold” or “fold.”

A little subliminal message idea for people.  Try using the word denote as often as possible, without overusing it, while saying good things about coins etc..  And try not to talk directly about DNotes while doing so. That would be funny if it worked!

As I understand it, the 25,000,000 DNotes extra reward would have  been 100% awarded to our miners sometime this Thursday, virtually dropping the daily new supply of DNotes by 75%.  Given that the demand remains the same, wouldn’t this denote a much tighter supply and hence, more precious? This generally holds true whether one is investing in altcoins or precious metals.
