I think we should need a RE-ANN

And say what? Lets do it after the shop is online, the game is online, the community has got steam, and we are on the verge of being listed on cryptsy. That way we maximize the snowball of attention the coin can get.

Hi guys!
Sorry for the lack of updates this week, we have been very busy behind the scenes making things happen!

Some updates for this week:

  • We are adding nyancoin to the nyancat shop soon! We have been working with Chris to make this happen and soon you will be able to use your nyancoins at nyancatcity.myshopify.com. Our plan is to integrate nyancoin as a payment method and nyancoin merchandise! In the next few days Chris will begin a trial where he will be accepting orders via email for nyancat plush and nyancat stickers, this to get ball rolling until we begin to fully integrate the shop with nyancoin. We feel this is a very important step in the growth of nyancoin and what a better store to be the first to accept nyancoin than the official nyancat store!
  • Our official site nyancoin.org now supports over 40 languages! We will begin manual translations of the major languages soon and fix up translation errors. We thought this was very important as nyancat is very much worldwide, especially in asian countries. NOTE: Still looking for a Japanese speaker, please let me know if you can help!
  • We also have a little promo video coming out later this week. Our plan was to release this last weekend but we ran into some production issues. This will be a short promo video and it will be the first of many. We felt that we needed to have a strong presence on Youtube, considering that's where Nyancat started.
  • It seems our faucet, nyandispenser has been compromised. We will have a new faucet up for you guys soon. Also, If anyone would like to make additional faucets please let me know, we will have bounties for them

If anybody has any ideas or contributions they would like to add to Nyancoin please let me know and the team would be glad to help in any way we can!

Probably their findblock cron job failed, the pool op just has to restart it.

Sorry I guess I misunderstood your question.

Net hashrate is just a calculation that the pool software makes based on how quickly the network is finding blocks..

If within an hour all the pools had bad luck, we can get underestimated network speed, is it so?

Yep, network hashrate would be estimated by the pools to be under the true value in this case.

don't understand something...

Stat from moonishere for last hour:

41329 anonymous    04/02 17:10:42

so, found 5 blocks at  50 min ~ 1 block per 10 min

but also we can see:

Est. Avg. Time per Round (Pool)
3 minutes 41 seconds
(

Question: how pools perform Net hashrate calculatins?

The actual number of blocks a pool finds will be variable because it is all luck based.  The pool software estimates based off of current difficulty and current pool hashrate that a block will be found ~ every 3min 41seconds. In reality it could take anywhere from 2 seconds to hours to find a block. If the est avg. time per round is always underestimated (over several days) then it could be a bug in how that number is being calculated.

Yes and many thanks, but I'm asked mostly about  Net hashrate calculations.

When I asked, I looked at the statistics of the major NYAN pools - they all showed the same (or  very similar to moonishere) underestimation of Time per Round (Pool)
At the same time, they all showed an identical Net hashrate ...

How accurate can be сalculations of net hasrate, and on what they based?
On "Current Net Difficulty" and "Est. Avg. Time per Round (Network)"?

net hashrate is a given fact...
if you open your wallet and you go to the debug screen
then console and there you type "getmininginfo"  (without the "")
you will see the total net hashrate

O, thanks for "getmininginfo"  (without the ""),
helped to find information

https://www.litecoinpool.org/pools

The global hash rate can only be estimated based on the rate at which blocks are solved, and can therefore take hours to reflect actual speed variations. The hash rates of the pools are provided by the pools themselves, and there is no way to verify whether their estimates are correct.
...
The network hash rate is estimated using a 5-hour average,

Not a given fact ...

If within an hour all the pools had bad luck, we can get underestimated network speed, is it so?
