In the windows/mac wallet,  help menu then debug window. Console window is found there.

We all started somewhere,  Welcome aboard... and enjoy.

Just found that! The window wallet trigged all sorts of AV alarms because of the mining, just like everyone else does. Just got it loaded onto a VM and now i see it. I am sync'ing right now. After, i should be able to search on this. So how would i take coin out of the paper wallet? Where would i import? Again, thanks for the help!

Yes,  In the same console, use ImportPrivKey command to Import from the paperwallet.

note: This can take some time as it scans the entire chain for transactions.  Give it time.  My last import took about 35 min.

Alternative,  I've tested the Coinomi 'Sweep Wallet' function and it works great.  Just Sweep the private key into Coinomi.

I have actually used this one also https://altminer.net/explorer/NYC

Thanks!!! certainly the first place that i can see my NYC transactions! couldnt find that on google. Even if the NYCoin webpage linked to this, that would be great! I'd love to see an easy interface for checking by wallet ID. Still scratching my head on how/where to import the private key to make the coins accessible.

Alrighty. Thats good. I'm guessing there isnt an easier blockchain explorer that working for this? If your thinking, "Damn this guy is an idiot" your right. Im new at this, so trying to understand. What would i use to withdraw the coins?

I can add a transaction view

You need it?

YES, it is needed

It would be helpful if there was an easy way for noobs..errrr people like me to check their paper wallets. Feels more legitimate that way. Kinda why i was freaking out a bit. I was able to do this pretty easily with some other paper wallets for other currency. i thought i may have sent stuff to no where.

Hi just had a little look at the NYC website and checked it on Google pagespeed insights, very good results!

Check for yourself: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnycoin.net%2F

The website should however preferably have a secure connection i.e. Https://

Also the title tag is too long from an SEO perspective and should be kept to a max of 80 characters, not all caps because they take up more space in the google search result link, AND include the words cryptocurrency and buy.

Also the links to exchange(s) on top should be clearer i.e. saying "buy NYC here" or "buy NYC on Yobit" etc. plus a link to a youtube tutorial on how to buy for newcomers...

The website is lacking a bit in optimization but I can help with that...

Otherwise everything is good, design is a matter of personal opinion.

Thank you. Please let me know if i understand correct. The blockchain explorer from the website isnt functional? So there is a way to manually look into the blockchain to find the transaction? How would i do that? Every search i do on looking at a blockchain directly always talks about browser but it looks like there is a direct way

From the debug window,  You can do what I showed above ....

getrawtransaction

Then

decoderawtransaction

Ive got ALOT to learn. not even sure where your getting the debug window from or how your even accessing the chain! This doesn't have to be an crypto 101, thats on me!  Thank you!

I'd really like someone to explain this to me. I bought some NYC. I set up a paper wallet using the paper wallet generator referenced on the website. I sent my NYC coin there and THERE ISNT A SINGLE BLOCKCHAIN that is showing my balance. NOTHING recognized my private key to get my coins out. WTF happened here? Where is the block chain search?

Post your transaction id here.

I'm also struggling with the existing NYC explorers.  Prohashing has been down and the other one doesn't like search.   I'm syncing up my own personal Iquidus Explorer for NYC now.
