is the wallet update mandatory
While it is Mandatory (Added to op), we do keep track of the network nodes to make sure all the clients have updated before making the previous clients obsolete, providing a wide timeframe window for update in case of those users that get into a coin and then check back after long time, that way we prevent them from losing coins with the update like it usually happens in crypto. Our community and supporters are the first thought on every update to make it the easiest possible for them.

1.- Backup your wallet and close the old client.
2.- Decompress/Install the new OKCash v2.0.0.0 Client.
3.- Rename your system Data directory called "Pimpcash" to "OKCash".
4.- Start the OKCash v2.0.0.0 Client and you are done.

@Dev: In addition to this procedure, if one had config file, I suppose that should be renamed from Pimpcash.conf to OKcash.conf? Or the new wallet will recognize both names?
On different topic, I agree this Dev is great, very consistent and thorough in his work. Renaming the coin is a smart move, as it will broaden its audience (PIMPCash name was a problem with many people, including Bittrex staff).
Are you affiliated with OKPay payment system (okpay.com)..? I guess- not, but you could think about working with them, the names are really similar
. That is correct, if you have/use the .conf file this needs to be renamed from pimpcash.conf to okcash.conf, already added to the op.

Was super easy swapping over to OK wallet. Updated from new, copied PimpCash wallet.dat to replace and balance is back.
