If it complains about libcurl after telling it to make:  Edit the makefile and change @LIBCURL@ to /use/local/lib/libcurl.so
That'll fix it right up.

If it complains about a , when checking for libcurl, edit configure.sh and put a # at the front of the two lines it is annoyed with.

After the "CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O3" ./configure" I get a libcurl error (can't find it or something).
It's 1:00 over here, time to go to bed.

Get it (use git or just plain grab the zip)

Ensure you've got  autoconf 2.5x+  and automake 1.7+

gcc-4.6.1 <- also good, good ensure you're compiling with 4.6.1

Get Midnight commander and use it to get rid of naughty ^M things in    configure.ac , autogen.sh ,    mknsis.sh (for some reason, this stuff always ends up there even when I download my own one, which I know I've cleaned up)

Run autogen.sh

Look at readme.

Do a
CFLAGS="-march=*your arch flag* -O3" ./configure

make and be happy.

    ^I think a ponzi site might be a better idea considering the amount of threads on the topic in the gambling room.I also think there should be a bounty for development of more open source miner software specific with optimizations for both Intel and AMD cpus that works with the Tenebrix fork.

You realize that should we pull off the laundry, TBX will be worth much, much more, and might even become the "second official SR currency" ?

Also, 1.5 mils is quite a lot of them TBX-es

you realize if I hire competent developers I'd have to pay them a decent amount of coin (like a real hourly so it's worth their time), so we might run out of development fund pretty quickly since TBX is not worth much

Technicalities aside (I am in no position to comment on programming side), it raises the same issue as making every miner the "laundry guard" - directly involving people in operation of something they might rather not be directly involved with, depending on jurisdiction and position, without ever asking them.

One might construct a miner with somewhat similar-ish behavior for those who are willing to volunteer for participating in such activity out of "stick it to da man" motives, tho...

However, such activity if taken to the extreme might actually be unfavorable... hm... have to think about it.

On a more serious note, if laundering could operate without separate laundry buffers and a bajilion of coins in them, it would be totally awesome! Too bad nobody has proposed an approach that would not involve things like "perfect trust between parties" (lol)

How about making the official miner instead of paying directly the owner pay to the laundrytumbler to increase the plausible denialbility(sp?) for people receiving payments from the service?
