It appears to be correct.  The highest hashing listed at the pool showed over 200GH/s at one point.  I will try to run it a bit longer and try to show more average out number but so far, Bitmain's claims of the specs to be great! Number seems to match or exceed their specta.

It does get warm but not HOT.

The unit does not come with the power suply so, I will see if I can make up an easy guide for the new eyes how to use the Computer power supply to run the miner. I'm using Antex 450w and it runs smooth so far.

Any news on the price yet? Haven't heard from Bitmain for 1 day now Sad

Added the Power Consumption Picture to my previous post.  Also added the miner's photo in Japan dated 11/20/2013.  As you all know, Bitmain is a Chinese Company.  Now the miner is in Japan, too!

So, 2W per GH/s while running at 180GH/s (2.8GH/s per chip).
Is that correct?

Hello BITMAIN! What is the price for your devices?
Guys come on, don't you think they will announce the price the moment they can.
They will sell like cookies (and I don't mean the browser thingies Grin ) if the price is right.
They get only one shot for their first pricing, let's give them some time.

predicting btc value and difficulty for 3+ months is easy: Both are going up. A lot.

BFL has always delivered for me, and i'm happy with the gear i have received.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Cheesy

"A lot" is not a particularly useful value for forming concrete predictions and plans.

And BFL has always delivered for you? That's a very... strange thing to say, and even stranger to bring up in this context. I've had nothing but problems with them myself, an experience that seems to be echoed on most of the forums here, but I'm not quite sure why it's relevant to the topic either.

Because of mentions above about BFL, in context to my earlier reply.

This doesn't really make a lot of sense. Either there is a return or there isn't. Profit is black and white.

And waiting for BFL?  Really?  Really???

Profit in what time frame? 1month, 2months? You think 3month ROI is bad?

At the moment? Yes. The exponential difficulty increases have stopped, for now, but there are new waves of ASICs on the way to miners as we speak and I fully expect the difficulty to begin jumping again soon.

Predicting what will happen with mining >1 month out is problematic at best, betting on difficulty and BTC price 3 months out (or more) is a crapshoot.

...that said, it's a gamble I'm still willing to take, but if you're making plans that require you to predict 3 months of the BTC world and are sure your predictions are right... well... I don't think you're making very sound decisions.

frankly i'm rather concerned about trust and reliability of these miners rather than price atm...

if even.

It takes 2 weeks for the miners to arrive, at least in the US.
once it hits mid december, for that price, probably not going to ROI.

So I'm pretty sure most suspect this might actually be yifu selling avalon gen 2 devices. The specs are the same but the chip markings mysteriously are not there

Also the chips are QFN56 rather than QFN48.

What are the differences between them?(packaging not chips)
56 pins vs 48 pins.

They also (from the datasheet) have a different communication protocol than the Avalon chips.

Aslo J/GH spec Smiley

We progress very fast recently, and we will sell our first batch, 30 units, in China market, tomorrow. They are all in stock miners. After that there will be lots of "evidence" in the China bitcoin community, I will try to repost here if I have the time to gather it. At the same time, the second batch will come in 1 or 2 days after the first batch, and the sample miners for global community members will be shipped out, and sales for oversea customers will be initiated.

congrats!
