I guess it is sort of undeniable that there are GPU miners out there. GPU devs even personally claimed that they were making quite a profit mining this coin with their rigs- and this was over a week ago.

Oh well. When GPU mining hits, I just hope there's comparable performance between Nvidia & AMD (I only got a couple of the cuda variety). Better yet, have the advantage over at the cuda camp, that would be very nice!  Grin

Good news for you then. We are still tuning things (and we're sure the community will improve upon it once we release source), but at the moment our Nvidia numbers for high end cards are better than our AMD numbers (thank djm for that).
Well this is definetely strange...  Huh
Since zr5 is a variation of x11 with 5 algos, AMD must be way better.
I wonder who is helping you with implementation of AMD GPU miners.

If you want someone to do it right, Wolf0 should be on your team testing miner for AMD GPU's.
it is rather a variation around jackpotcoin/nist5, and nvidia clearly dominated these coins

Then its definetely good to have you onboard ZiftrCoin too.  Cool
Maybe my next GPU rig will be nVidia based...  Wink

If you want someone to do it right, Wolf0 should be on your team testing miner for AMD GPU's.
I'm eager to see his optimization tricks opensoursed Cheesy
Wolf0 does it for BTC, he's not a charity worker. At least that's my experience with him and his AMD optimized miner. Usually only big farms can afford his miner Sad

yes big farms buy wolf miner   busy mining coin  dumping exchange   others waste time cpu mine  will end with holding bag

coin mined big farms for dumping

coin is die because

same other coins   just make for quick profit   make fancy ANN webpage try look serious but not serious

easy btc only thing wanted

The Wolf and Stephan had a bet yesterday that he couldn't double the power of our CPU miner in an hour. He was only able to get his CPU from about 600 kH/s to 1000 kH/s, so I guess he lost. We all think that still counts and tried to pay him, but he sent his bet to Stephen anyway. Needless to say we're working on implementing that now.

Our AMD stuff still needs a lot of optimization for sure. Once we get it to a reasonable level, I'm sure we'll be reaching out to others on it. The newer Nvidia cards (compute 5.0+) are quite a bit better at mining than they used to be, so I don't think it will be a cut and dry AMD wins. I've even heard rumors (though never seen it) of people making farms out of GTX 750s because they're cheap and power efficient.

This is pointless mining with single cpu 640kh/s is getting me around 2 coins aday and the pools are full of people with 3mh/s to 60mh/s with network speed of 750mh/s+. has that botnet moved onto solo mining ? We need to GPU sooner than next wednesday

If you look closely, they just split up accounts.. All those (well most of those) anonymous accounts are botnet/AWS/... users.. "especially those with a high hashrate.."

You can never stop these kind of things.

There are always users with more and better equipment. I know it's harsh sometimes, i too only get like 2-5 coins a day with 2 xeons running..
But what i get, i have.

We will just have to accept the fact that we're never going to get rich doing this. And we just need to keep having fun Smiley That's what it's all about (for me at least) Smiley

So 1 CPU vs 100 CPUs makes it all pointless.
How will this change once it's 1 GPU vs 100 GPUs?

Stated perfectly, thank you.
Right now there are botnets and people abusing AWS/Google (even a youtube video on how to do it).
When GPUs become widely available, it will be GPU farms.

Sidenote: With your hashrate, you will make more than double those 2 coins a day by solo mining, on average...

do you guys have an IRC channel? Also.....  I see people with 30+mh on supernova.  When do the rest of us get the GPU miner? or are you just giving it out to your friends?

I call shenanigans

If they have GPU miners then they would have coded them themselves, theyre aiming to release a wallet with gpu mining by i think they said next wednesday in order to give gamers and people with little gpu power to mine some before they release getpimp and the big farms start to get underway

Bullshit. MANY people have very high hash rate on the pools.  I could understand if it was maybe one or two people with crazy hash rates. My guess is there is an inner scam circle operating with this coin. Release the GPU miner ASAP and quit bullshitting the community.
