More on the Official ziftrCOIN Pool Released

Well to say it’s been a crazy day would be an understatement. Between Botnets on SuperNova and trying to get our GPU mining QT wallet out the door, the team needs to hit the hay for the night.

So in preparation for our upcoming GPU code release, we've opened up our stratum pool, which you can find here. http://www.ziftrpool.io We also worked with BetaRigs to get their pool up. http://ziftr.betarigs.com

And we've put some experimental builds of the wallet and CPU miners here http://www.ziftrpool.io/downloads

There are now four pools available, so please spread some hash rate! Wink

NOTE: the first CPU miner by ocminer does not work with stratum out of the box. The downloads section of the ziftrpool (http://www.ziftrpool.io/downloads) has links to new builds of the CPU miner. This section also contains experimental builds of a QT wallet that let you mine to a pool just by clicking 'Start mining’.

Since we now know that the added hash rate was from BotNets, we are back to our release schedule of GPU Qt wallets next (Wednesday), and then we will add PIMP support at some time in the future. This can change at any moment depending the hashing environment. As always we are dedicated to getting Ziftr into the hands of more people and will do all that we can to make that happen. This coin is ZR5 not Pluck. Pluck was SUPCoin

Sorry wont be joining the pool, just spent the last hour looking for cpuminer-ziftr and I dont want to build my own, last time I tryed it fucked my pc. If anyone has got one can they please share it

When i try connect to the pool all i get is "Stratum detected new block" and my cpu isn't actually mining

please encourage development of CUDA mining software (large # of people use low on electricity bill NVIDIA cards) , there are few examples (coins) were developers locked development of these to themselves and in my eyes this impacts value of the whole enterprise in the negative, mining software should be as optimized as possible and released in the wild, if someone wants to purchase a farm time so be it, it can get expensive, expensive drives prices up while you at the same time build up infrastructure and social and community around the coin

just my three cents, otherwise awesome you are doing this , you are pushing crypto into commerce space and that is great

We're planning on basically releasing everything we have. Our GPU mining isn't up to our satisfaction in performance OR usability, but we're going to release what we have so the tinkerers can tinker. The botnet was a huge distraction for us, so hopefully some GPUs can help stem that, but won't kill the value of the coin. Then we can focus development on things people want instead of battling botnets.
