Currently there are different bounties like translation of the ANN into your local language, the logo contest (will be running until end of next week, poll will be available this evening). After 3 week of tiny testsystem i can say, that the POS is working like a charm, blocktime for POS without POW power is also fine. I will try to setup the sourcecode for the POW implementation with a block reward.
The "problem" with the POW reward is the following: We have an airdrop for active community people. There are about 1.2 mio coins being contributed over 6 months to all shareholders. So there are only about 6800 PI dayli on the airdrop. If we have the POW rewards to high, then the airdrop would be too "weak" and on the other side, if the POW is to powerfull the airdrop won't be as atractive as with a smaller POW reward. Picoinsupport and me will have a talk this evening about POW rewards. Currently we are not sure how much reward there should be. If you have any feedback for us or any sugestions, please let us know. One of our goals is it to have a very active community (i don't know how often i have posted this ) so any ideas and feedbacks (even negative !!!) is very highly welcome.

Yes you are right, everycoin must have a destination. But does every coin has a reason to be there? How many coins did you watch, where devs said "we will have this, we will have visa cards, etc. etc." and how often did you have been disapointed? This happened to me very often. I have invested some money into ICOs now and nearly every time i got very highly disapointed. That's why we don't want to do "empty promises" or collect BTC from the community. I think the name PiCoin is a good name, because it is related to PI. Also the coinspecs are, atleast for us devs, a good base for a good coin.
One thing should be clear: If any new coin/dev claims to make you rich out of the no where, then it might (most likely) a scam. Scammers are always in a hurry, and i personally must say, that i have time That's why i told several times: please don't nail us on a date we have posted. Currently everything looks fine and the release (as planned) could happen in early march. I think we will know more about release date after  the public testnet. As soon i have implemented the POW reward, i will try to compile the windows wallets. I have had some problems to compile the windows wallet on a linux machine (i tryed cross-compileing), might setup a windows compiler to see how this is going.


We accept ANY translation in any language the community wants to translate the ANN. Currently we have an indonesian translation and someone has already "reserved" a russian translation. All other languages are free. For us it makes no difference if you translate the ANN into chines, japanese, german, french or whatever language you want. I think, if we have more and more translations it is only helping the coin to create a greater and greater community
The ANN will receive some updates and some reorganisations, because some informations are indeed only visibile/accessible if you read almost the whole thread. This is a time comsumeing act and so i also think, that all informations should be placed in the ANN
The free PI will get payed out dayli according to the shareholder/bounty list. All people on the list will receive their coins on the same time each day in order to have a fair distribution.

Isn't any coin must to be needed to pay for some goods etc?.. (i mean SteemDollars are bound to they project, like so...)

Sorry i don't understand your question. Currently there is a working testnet with the POS specs working fine and with a POW without any block reward. I am able to find blocks but with 0PI. I have made some changes to the sourcecode and will compile the testnet wallets. If the implemented coinreward is working correctly on the testnet there might be a public testnet available by next week. But i posted this before, please don't nail me on next week testnet because i can't promise that i can finish it this weekend

As i can see you have changed your signature campaign to a non picoin signature. In order to receive the bonus (not released yet) for early supporters you must have a valid PiCoin signature ready. Picoinsupport is checking the shareholderlist and is telling me, which people have no PiCoin signature ready. People will get informed that they are loosing the early supporter bonus if they change to a non picoin signature.

No i am not alone We are two friends, knowing each other for more than 10 years now. I am in cryptos since 2013 and picoinsupport is in to it since last year.
I am working as an it-specialist and just love cryptos. I have watched different coin launches and i think, that ICOs are quite popular these days. I believe in a complete free distribution, so that also new people have the chance to obtain some PI without investing money. Investing money into a non finished project is also a dangerous thing. Because we don't have an ICO i believe, that PiCoin has a great oppertunity to become a good coin

Yes even as a newbie you can signup and receive free PI. In order to do so, you must use a PiCoin signature and have a minimum of 10 activity points. Our goal is it, to also give newbies the chance to get into PiCoin AND into crypto in general without the need of buying expensive mining hardware This i way we have choosen this kind of coin distribution.
We also believe, that even a small, but very active and powerfull community can do very good things with a new born coin.
