Hey Guys  Grin
If i have one masternod -how many coins i get a week //
TY  Cool

Depends how much coin you have. There is a website that monitors how many mosternodes and staking nodes there are.

ok ty
if it 10,000

In the last week I've received 6 payments, each around 6.75-6.885. But after the reduction it will be less.

FYI:
i will now update the chain snapshot at least twice a day with my ftp robot until we have a new official one on github (from one of my nodes running with version 2.1.7).

feel free to download the file if you need it. please check the size first in case my ftpbot is in upload process (the file will be corrupted if you donwload while i upload  Tongue)
should be around 500mb and cronjob is timed at 12:00 and 24:00 (UTC+01:00)

Hi guys, just a quick genuine question, PIVX has a pretty large coin supply, in regards to that, what do you guys think of the price sustaining?

1. ~21 mio are locked for masternodes
2. supply don't matter that much (see examples from EZ) set your goal for market cap. not for price per unit
3. i see no reason atm why PIVX can not reach a market cap. of ~300 - 500 mio, but this will not happen over night and needs some solid development first  Wink

i'm 100% sure the development will happen, how the marekt will react is another question

no advice here & allways set you own goal for market cap. of any blockchain related projects!

Hi guys, just a quick genuine question, PIVX has a pretty large coin supply, in regards to that, what do you guys think of the price sustaining?

You could find examples to support just about any prediction. E.g., ETH has nearly double the supply and higher inflation but is worth 25x more per unit; LTC has similar supply but is worth 6x more per unit; NXS has similar supply but is worth 4x less per unit, etc. Or, since PIVX is based on DASH, you could make the case that since DASH's supply is 1/7 that of PIVX, each PIVX's value should ultimately be 1/7 that of DASH's, which would be $10. Or you could say that PIVX is better than DASH so it should be worth more. Or you could say it's a cheap and crappy clone, so it should be worth less. There are cogent arguments to be made for each.

If nothing else, it's clear that PIVX's current value is not an outlier relative to other coins. Personally, I expected PIVX to decline or at least plateau for a while until the next development milestone, but I've been wrong so far. Longer term, I think $5+ is reasonable given the roadmap and the Devs' track record. Of course, lots of things could happen between now and the hypothetical future that prevent that from happening. So...make your best guess and enjoy the ride, I guess.

Congrats PIVX! You are the coin of the year!  Smiley

Guys how did you manage to grow this coin so incredibly? Can you share us your experience?

I'll tell you my part of it...

I'm the one or one of the ones who flew PIVX into the clouds the last several weeks. Why? Because it seemed like a solid investment to me. Still does. During those couple short weeks in which it rose from .0001 to .0008 my trades accounted for 40ish percent of all volume in that interval. I hit social media hard and in respectable fashion. I concealed my massive volume movements with thousands of transactions of varying sizes. If anyone was there on Bittrex during that time, it may help you to understand that 8 is my favorite number, followed closely by 7. Granted, I lost my entire initial investment of 5 BTC during the pumping/transaction fees/buying my own sells/etc, but...... I'll say it was one heck of a ride.

My transaction history on Bittrex can confirm to anyone all of what I'm saying. I did not need to lose all of my money. I started with 5,000 PIVX, then added 4 more BTC to my trades... totalled 5 BTC lost. I worked up to 24,000 PIVX by around .0007, adding a total of 5 BTC to the pot, playing the ups and downs. That would be about 32 BTC today. I just kept going too long, didn't want it to end... Then as soon as I ran out it jumped again from .0008 to what you see today. I've thrown my life's savings at it... ended up with 400 remaining after all the fun, now I'm spending what little I have left on it... but honestly I would just like to be allowed, by the community, to run a masternode. At the time of my massive volume trading I knew not of the possibility of running a masternode, and it can not be said that I have not invested in this. Feeling a little butt-hurt.

Robert
You can still run a masternode. It only takes the technical know-how, and I believe there are a couple people even offering help to set up, for a small fee, the server side. However the services that offered full setup and hosting, I think, ran out of space due to popularity, at least the ones that have been in the community a long time. You should inquire on slack: http://slack.pivx.org/, and/or on the PIVX forum: https://forum.pivx.org/.

Hey Guys  Grin

TY  Cool

Depends how much coin you have. There is a website that monitors how many mosternodes and staking nodes there are.

ok ty
if it 10,000

MNs are always 10K. Each MN will pay out as shown here: http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html

Note that there will be a block reduction from 15 to 10 PIVX in the next few days, so the payout will decline by 33%.

Staking rewards are also listed on the same site, but the frequency of receiving a stake depends on how many coins you are staking. With 1000 coins, maybe once a week or so; with 10K, almost once a day. The see-saw mechanism is designed to balance rewards between MNs and staking. Because there are a lot of MNs now (almost 2100), staking is almost as profitable as MNs. If the MN number dropped, staking would be relatively less profitable.

7 days setup masternode and still 0 first reward ..
 Is it worrying or not?

That does seem long. 3 or 4 is what I'd expect. Are both your MN wallet and your controller wallet the same version? Has the MN been showing up as 'ENABLED' continuously?

If it's a local MN that's outside my experience since all mine are remote.

Go to your masternode and type:
./pivx-cli masternode status

if you see masternode started successfully then it's a mather of waiting...

Make also sure that your port is forwarded to your masternode

while people had 100 days of POW it was announced loud and clear everyone was aware no major farms engaged and despite all this some sold their coins for pennies soon there after

Agreed, and just to add to that, since there still seems to be confusion:

As it says in the OP, PoW lasted from January 30 to August 17, 2016. That is exactly 200 days, not 100. I was mining with 2 x R9-270x (!!!) and doing OK for myself, so there were certainly no major farms in play.

And many sold while prices were low. In fact, PIVX's price remained essentially flat for most of 2016, leading to quite a bit of redistribution.

Really don´t know if darknet coin just "fail", if this is a sort of development switch or pivx is a continuation of the same project.

It is the same project with a different name, just like DASH was DarkCoin. Same Devs, same community, same roadmap; they just hired a professional branding agency, consulted with the community on some name/logo/colourscheme options, and rebranded as PIVX.
