Seems to me that a lot of Dash money freed up by the pump and is moving into the other anon coins. PIVX is just riding the train; it will be interesting to see how far this will go!

Good job team. The recent upward rise in price has been the result of a lot of hard work this last year but just like a train once it gets going the shear momentum is very hard to slow down!

Although it was posted earlier by s3v3nh4cks, I think many may have missed it (I did!) so here it is in more visible form.

Wallet Update

New non-mandatory PIVX v2.1.5.0 wallet has been released with tons of bug fixes, enhancements and new features.

Change Log (not in any particular order)
1. Rpi wallet now has Static Qt binary!
2. Autocombine feature - Automatically combines coins below thereshold via a tansaction. Great for dust control.
3. Network enhancements - Increase outbound connections.
4. BIP38 tool now supports more characters.
5. Icons changed to non-transparent icon for better visibility.
6. Multisend now can filter between staking and masternode rewards. Also some bugs addressed.
7. Wallet crashing with certain blockchain corruption has been prevented.
8. Lots of updates for OS X build.
9. In-Wallet Blockexplorer!
10. Added Seed Nodes - You no longer need to add initial addnodes lines to pivx.conf!
11. Lots more minor updates (readme, copyright etc) and bug fixes.

Big kudos to all the devs that made this happen!

Have you seen Trex?    It's skyrocketing, and before, oh, well, the add of that thing that jakiman knows a lot better than me to annon more the transactions. I have added another bunch of MN's from my stake, just  in case...

Agree on zcoin, looks solid.......however in my opinion, for small investors (like me), I think diversified portfolio would be best........holding dnet, zcoin and zclassic (still mining)!

maybe, I just find high price of entry of 10K $ last year encouraged narrow demographics of distribution , overall I am not out there to put down anything or anyone...if something works it works..

inflationary model here is also well thought out, and even if supply grows.. it is de-accelerated , self see this in daily payouts.. I mean after all they were like 25 DNET before and now... anyways.. this is all beginning stages of something big, ultimately is coin use that will decide if community builds up and then zcoin protocol then next natural thing is a market place a retail place and auction like place (long term projects) but might as well speculate..

I dont know if you saw but zcoin has also been dragged in the upwards direction (caught in time in trading time) we are tied to it by the virtue of upcoming libzercoin.so lib.. and that is cut edge....

zcoin is EXTREMELY tight in supply and has slow block growth curve.. algo computation time is probably contributing to it.. even wallet itself is still not polished... and requires babysitting.. but people are lining up to purchase it right now.. regardless. why ? potential...algo appears unbreakable and for us it is good for zcoin going forward will use code review and spot things like

= is not equal to == (which was found recently in the lib) but these are trivial errors.. and yet VERY important to catch

if zcoin lib is integrated with all the current patches and blockchain flows without breakdown, 3.5 mil mc will look like a good time to buy

restart the wallet after full sync otherwise sometimes staking will not begin afaik.

recommended for security reason: encrypt your wallet with a good password.
after that go to "settings" -> "unlock wallet" mark "for anon. and staking only" option and put in your password -> wait some time for staking rewards rolling in.

last Tipp: backup your wallet from time to time (in case of a hardware problem hardisk failure and such)

weak point of dash happens to be ongoing POW phase, there are sophisticated ASIC X11 devices out there, you stand no chance, use your GPU's for gaming (nice break from crypto actually) and save your energy (mental and electrical)
