ICO? Not even once.
I wonder, did the orphan issue with zPIV staking got fixed?

Since no one else more knowledgeable has chimed in yet...

It's still an issue, in that people are still getting a lot of orphans. However, most users are reporting that they're receiving the correct number of accepted stakes, so while it's annoying, it doesn't seem to be affecting reward rates significantly.

The devs are aware of the situation and are working on a solution, plus some more upgrades. I don't know any more details than that, or an ETA for a new wallet release.

Thank you. From my initial tests, I earned roughly about 25% less coins staking zPIV as I did with PIV staking so the orphan rate (which I believe is around roughly 50%) seemed to be correct. But, my experience should not be taken as fact by any means because of variance.

If you try a snapshot and something goes wrong, the client does not pick it up and try to sync it from scratch. It will take about two days.As long as my Pivx is not lost,I am not a matter of waiting.
Could you give me explanations on your snapshot purposes, please.
Are there bounty/ airdrops which require snapshots?
Thanks.

No. There are no airdrops (although you're right, airdrops in other coins do rely on a snapshot of the blockchain, which is used to record who qualifies for the airdrop at the designated time).

In a broader sense, snapshots, or bootstraps, are a way of downloading the blockchain all at once, rather than syncing block-by-block. They get you back up and running again faster in the event that you encounter blockchain/sync issues. The only difference between a snapshot and a bootstrap is that the a bootstrap still requires some validation and is therefore potentially more secure; however, if you trust the source, it doesn't matter if you use a snapshot or a bootstrap.

You can download the daily snapshot here: http://178.254.23.111/~pub/PIVX/Daily-Snapshots-Html/PIVX-Daily-Snapshots.html

Or you can install the bootstrap here (not updated as frequently as the above): https://pivx.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/30000021125-using-the-bootstrap

TBH, I'm not sure exactly what the previous comment was saying. In general, syncing from scratch should take 3 - 6 hours depending on your connection, and bootstrapping/snapshotting should only take 10 - 15 mins to get you back to being fully synced.

Ukrainians will resist
In the new version, the wallet is slowly synchronized. Will this be fixed in the next releases?
And zPos normally works, without orphans of blocks?

Congratulations!
But, I am curious about how to bring crypto project news on Yahoo Finance channel.
Is it free or small charge for news in Yahoo Finance, which has massive readers and has good potential to spread information of crypto projects out a bit.

One more question, if I use  pivx wallet app in android via VPN, does that help for the transaction being more private?

How can I setup masternode only in my local wallet (without VPS)? Have you guide for this case?

It's actually more secure (and not at all hard) to set up a remote MN so I don't know of many recent guides for doing it locally (especially now that MN collateral can be held on a Ledger). Here's the original version, from the man himself 1 day after the network went live:

OK, It's pretty easy to create a masternode,

Create an Address and Name it MN1 or whatever you want. Send 10k (exactly 10k) DNET to this address. Wait until there are a minimum of 15 confirmations to the transaction.

Thank you, I'll try it.

Create an Address and Name it MN1 or whatever you want. Send 10k (exactly 10k) DNET to this address. Wait until there are a minimum of 15 confirmations to the transaction.

Then you need to go to the console and type; masternode genkey (record this key)

then go to your darknet.conf file and put the following in the file;

rpcuser=( Create a Random Username)
rpcpassword=( Create a Random Password )
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=(place key that was generated by mastered genkey here)

Now make sure your router has port 51472 open to the world. (its just for communications to other masternodes)

after all of the above has been completed reboot your wallet

then go to the console and type; masternode start.

If you followed everything exactly is should work fine.

If you're running Linux you could also try adapting this guide to setting up a local MN on an RPi:

https://forum.pivx.org/t/updated-edited-raspberry-pi-masternode-setup/609

And finally, you can also use this guide for DASH on Windows as a reference (you'll see it's pretty similar to s3v3nh4cks' above):
