If you try a snapshot and something goes wrong, the client does not pick it up and try to sync it from scratch. It will take about two days.As long as my Pivx is not lost,I am not a matter of waiting.
Could you give me explanations on your snapshot purposes, please.
Are there bounty/ airdrops which require snapshots?
Thanks.
No. There are no airdrops (although you're right, airdrops in other coins do rely on a snapshot of the blockchain, which is used to record who qualifies for the airdrop at the designated time).
In a broader sense, snapshots, or bootstraps, are a way of downloading the blockchain all at once, rather than syncing block-by-block. They get you back up and running again faster in the event that you encounter blockchain/sync issues. The only difference between a snapshot and a bootstrap is that the a bootstrap still requires some validation and is therefore potentially more secure; however, if you trust the source, it doesn't matter if you use a snapshot or a bootstrap.
You can download the daily snapshot here:

https://pivx.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/30000021125-using-the-bootstrapTBH, I'm not sure exactly what the previous comment was saying. In general, syncing from scratch should take 3 - 6 hours depending on your connection, and bootstrapping/snapshotting should only take 10 - 15 mins to get you back to being fully synced.
