After upgrading our pool server earlier this week, it was still getting a bit overloaded today - so tonight we setup a shiny, new, larger server to replace it. We've already moved the stratum servers for AsiaCoin and WhiteCoin to the new server. Of course there's nothing you need to do on your end, we just wanted to share the good news  Grin

hi
if it is true, that there are people with 1GHash scrypt hashpower on the pool it is not longer interesting for any normal user to mine there. it will help no coin to flood the market with tons of ghashes of mining power. only helps the already big player to get more rich, otherwise they could not have such enormous hash power. this is against the idea of crypto currency.
after using multipool for several month and ipominer for several weeks with a hashpower of average personal computer graphics card (250-650 khash), asic scrypt getting available, scrypt get uninteresting to mine. better change to X11.
maybe 10 or 100 times 1 graphic card is in normal range, but 1gh is not, its just pervert. my 5 cents.

I watched this pool for few hours and reloaded page every few minutes. I see strange thing. 90% of time most profitable is WC, but multiport is mining AC. Is it bug or what?

that is ipominer dude, they dont mine whats most profitable is right now, but what they think will be more profitable in the longer term, so id say they believe
ac will rise harder in the future then wc, its just a guess what to choose but i think hes right on this one.

thats why he leaves you the option to mine wc anyways on the other port, but we mine ac on the multiport because he thinks thats better in the long run Wink

Would there be any interest in BitStar?  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annbitsbitstar-pos-multipool-anon-in-wallet-fiat-exchange-beta-574652

There's only a couple of pools on it and the difficulty is super low. I know there doesn't seem to be much interest in it at the moment but i'm not sure why as from what I can tell it's not too much different than whitecoin in terms of the coin specs. The devs are really active and they have done 2 giveaways today which I have been a part of.

Maybe we could get on it early doors and with a multipool like yours it could draw some interest and get it on the exchanges?

@minerarbue You mean the "Current Block 0" and "Current Difficulty 0"? The job that updates the cached statistics was running while you were loading the page, apparently. If you check it now you'll see it is fine. If you're asking about the "Time Since Last block", that's a result of having a total of ~4MH/s on the ECC direct port, and the coin having 47+ difficulty.

I agree, it is a great feature. We're going to be working on implementing it -- it just isn't the top priority at the moment.

+1   sounds like a great feature

Ipominer, A site I used to use called hash.so has a wonderful feature that by the touch of a button you could switch your workers to a different coin in their setup. Could something similar be setup here to switch between the auto switching and manual ports?

+1 I have also used hash.so and the coin switch feature is nice. Not sure how hard it is to implement.

Looks like WC went past block 5000, we're half way complete before all the coins get mined.

Okay, I just learnt my lesson. No more selling WC until the 10,000th block hits.
Honestly though a bird in the hand, blah blah blah.

i though the same...
so sold only half

i still get problems with the pool
seems like it is lagging on previous block not giving new work to c/s gminer

Cryptsy just added WhiteCoin -- sells have been going up to 2900 satoshis now. Great times on ipoMiner! Smiley

@TheFuneral If you want to get on IRC and chat that way it might be easier to discuss/troubleshoot -- we're on the Freenode IRC network, and our channel is ##ipominer Smiley

Anyone know how long WC will take to confirm?

Look back a page or two.

The site uses shares submitted, which isn't really a reflection of your "hashrate" reported by your miner - it is what your miner calls work units. On my own Gridseeds, I've noticed that if I use higher difficulty I see a big variance in my shares submitted per 10 minutes. I use 128 for my 6MH and 10MH rigs of Gridseeds. For less than 16 of the 5-chip Gridseeds, I would use 64 for your difficulty.

I have 20 GS grids each as one worker with your pool. Is there a place I can see shares submitted then instead of hash rate if it's not the most useful of number? If I increase my difficulty you're saying I'll see a hashrate closer reflecting what I see locally, but it sounds like that doesn't really matter, more of an appearance issue?

I've noticed that if I have my seeds clocked higher than 850, they look like they are running awesome on my end (no HW or anything), but the rate reported by the pool is always 2-3 Mh/s lower than what I'm seeing.

My assumption is that they actually aren't actually running that great, even at 855 I see this problem.  So I put them back to 850 and now what I'm seeing on my end, and what I'm seeing at the pool are just about the same (minor variance but nothing worth sweating over).

Thanks for the response. I'm still seeing slower speeds reported by the pool. Is there another way to verify my gear is running efficiently with the pool besides hashrates? At 850mhz I'm seeing 26mh/s locally, but on the pool I see 19mh/s hashrate.

Profitability ("btc/mh/day") is calculated from difficulty, block reward, and price. If any of those elements change, it changes. Of course the most commonly changing elements are difficulty and price.

0.00767 btc/mh/day is still MASSIVELY profitable in the current scrypt mining world, especially in comparison to what any pool other than ipoMiner has offered for more than a month. Check out http://poolpicker.eu/ for examples of profitability from the most common large multipools.
