Hi Dev,

I'll like to know what happens when Cryptonight-Heavy Fork takes place at Block 10,000 for Solace...

- do we continue to use our existing CLi wallet and address?
- does xmr-stak 2.4.2 still works for mining?

Thank you.

Hi bit-coin-talk2u,

Please read https://www.solace-coin.com/getting-started/ that will help you get started with Cryptonight-Heavy

what is going wrong with my rigs? My rigs almost can not create daemon due to local host can not found. How to fix this problem?
Anyone help will be highly appreciated.

You don't need to have the daemon on every rig. You just need to have a single wallet address for either XMR-Stak, Claymore, or XMRig to use.

Localhost not being found is a network error on your end. You may need to restart your router and/or your rigs.

Hello Miner.
Did you open up your solace-wallet-cli before running solaced?
Are you lonely and staring at a 0 coin balance that won't update?
You might have a corrupted wallet!
Follow the steps below to recover your wallet balance. All coins mined under the corrupted wallet are safe and you can continue to use the wallet address to mine with.
1. Close the wallet and daemon (solaced)
2. Start wallet without daemon, it will give an error.
3. Inside the wallet type seed than enter, then enter wallet file password
4. Copy into notepad the 25 words that the wallet gives you in order
5. Close wallet and move all 3 wallet files to different place (Backup) [wallet][wallet.address][wallet.keys]
6. Start cmd, (Windows+r) then go to the folder where solace-wallet-cli.exe is
7. Then type: solace-wallet-cli --restore-deterministic-wallet
8. Enter your new wallet name. This must be different than your previous wallet name.
9. Confirm with Y.
10. Type the 25 seed words you were given earlier.
11. Type in 0 when asked to restore from blockchain height.
12. Start solaced.
13. If your balance doesn't automatically start updating with transactions, then type refresh into your cli.

Devs, nice project.  I wish you the best of of luck!

A couple of suggestions:

First, nice website redesign.  Much more user-friendly.  Smiley

Under the "Solace Coins Vision" section, you outline a nice 'Use Case' scenario.  If I were a newbie reading that, I would have thought, "Sounds good.  How do I start?".  A link at the end of that section to 'Getting Started' would be helpful.

The miners listed in the Getting Started site are for intermediate/advanced level miners and would be a difficult entry point into the mining world.  How about offering user-friendly software with a GUI?

Like these:

Simple Miner
http://cryptomanager.net/
https://github.com/SimpleMinerTeam/SimpleMiner

XMRGUI
http://xmrgui.com/
https://github.com/crocokyle/XMRGUI

Great job so far, gentlemen!

Hi there,

Thank you for the kind words.

We are currently working on our GUI wallet, and it should be available within the next few days. There are a few minor bugs currently. I like the idea with a user-friendly GUI miner, thanks for the tip, we will certainly think of doing it. We are still doing some minor updates and changes on the website that should be done fairly soon.

Regards
Leon

For those in doubt. I can tell you that I am with the project on Discord form day 1. And the devs just give good vibes. They work hard and fast and I don't think they are scammer. Ofc I could be wrong but if they are then they are really good ones Smiley

People give the project a chance because I think they actually do try to help people. And if all will be done transparently then there is no room for manipulation. To devs and everyone I propose this. Blockchain's one of the most prominant features, is that everyone owns the whole transactions log, so basically it can be monitored and nothing can be hidden. To the devs I propose they find a way around cryponight anonimity, because this project does not need anonimity in the contrary, everybody should be able to check every address. We should have a rich list and list of all charity related transactions. The more open you are the more community will be willing to participate.

Thats my 2 cents.

Thank you for your kind words! We are doing our best to make this work. With Cryptonight it's difficult to see transactions but we are building a method to see the charity wallet transactions.

Seen this all before with coins like Humanitary coin. Hopefully not another scam in the face of charity. The worst kind of scam

Hi there,

This is not a scam at all and everything will be done publicly. You are more than welcome to watch the project and join our community.
We are here for the greater good.  Smiley

The problem is you are taking 70% of the 6% fee for yourselfs. Can you imagine if a charity tried to do that?

Hi there, actually we are not. Some % goes for exchange listings. As we said, the percentages will be added to the charity listing as soon as we get listed on multiple exchanges. Please note all of this will be done publicly and the community will be able to see the distribution of the funds.

all eyes are on you now  Smiley

after the Humanitary coin fiasco all coin with goal of charity will be watch with skepticism

but hopefully you will do right. If you get the coin on at least 2-3 exchange medium trading vol you will be ok

and try to get SOLACE on https://www.hashvault.pro/, that would be a big win for the coin network hash stability

Hi there,

We will do it all openly and there will be no surprises. We are currently working with exchanges to get listed, this usually takes a bit of time, but it will certainly be done within quarter 2 of 2018. We are also currently working on spreading the hashrate. We will actively work on getting more pools involved. For us "the more the merrier".

Could make a GUI wallet! CLI is a dick doggy. For people like me, I need a simple wallet. Replenished the account with one click and took coins in the same way! And not this horse-radish you will understand - CLI!

Hi there currently we have the CLI wallet working fine, but the GUI wallet is just around the corner. We are just working on some minor bug fixes.
