i know the concept of marketing thx. But its necessary to know the type of audience they were targetting during those events, wether its business, corporations and govt agencies, or simply techies and blockchain enthusiasts...

The project is great, I am with it from the day one. They want to solve huge issues. How do you guys think will AION ultimately have similar POS consensus like Ethereum wants to implement or it will be something different? Thank you.

i think they have a lot of bags already though, if you think about it, they've made some solid moves in regards to partnering and i think they've got some future project coming up. I think they are focused on building the community at this point in time, hence ,meet ups and all, which is cool for the project as well.
Aion network is aggressively promoting its third generation blockchain protocol . It even conducts series of test nets to ensure quality control and network reliability so team is so busy developing the blockchain application.

I am particularly excited about that first week of May in Toronto!
Aion and OmiseGO are Super Sponsors of EDCON May 3-5 in Toronto. Matt Spoke, Aion Founder, will be speaking at EDCON along with Vitalik Buterin and the many other huge names in blockchain (Ethereum particularly).
Matt is CEO of Nuco Global, a company based in Toronto focused on helping enterprise and government clients build blockchain infrastructure. Nuco's clients include TMX and the Ontario Government. Matt started his career at Deloitte and founded their blockchain team. He's also a Founding Steward of the Muskoka Group with Joe Lubin, and a Founding Board Member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. In the Canadian market, Matt has been appointed as Advisor to the Ontario Securities Commission and Ministry of Finance.
Aion is a not-for-profit project that aims to help bring scalability solutions to Ethereum and other blockchains via interoperability. They have partnerships with other blockchain projects (like Icon and Wanchain, Enigma, and SingularityNET) and major manufacturing companies like Moog. Their team includes nearly a dozen engineers and two TMX Group execs are advisors.
Aion hopes to launch its Main Net before mid-year, this year.

I read about an alliance between wanchain icos and aion but from my point of view they are more of rivals than partners. Wanchain seek interoperability and privacy an icos seek for scalability.
Generation 1) decentralised blockchain 2) decentralised blockchain with smart contract built on top 3) decentralised blockchain with smart contracts built on top with scaling in mind.
It's these 3rd generation blockchain that I believe we will see become huge in the coming years

Mainnet will leave when. Cosmos is the biggest competitor of ADA and Polcadot.
I doubted it because the wording of the email isn't very formal, the email address is different than usual, the email font is different, and why are they using Google forms? I'm holding off until I get a reply from official channels.
