To answer a couple of your questions from my point of view. I think all would aggree that the stand-out-point of PRT is going to be the completely new vallet qt. If it will succeed it can force other coins step up their game because, seriously, that bitcoin wallet rebranded with logo and splashscreen is getting really old... It is taking a bit longer than some less patient people would like to, but that's reasonable and understandable, since moonmoon is working alone for now, but he really knows his stuff.

The community here could be a bit more active, since it would be great to have a couple more specialists for marketing and development purposes, but, as I understand, PRT has a big support from China and they are really moving some things. Recently made so called "Foundation" team is getting organized, funded and will start working on making PRT more attractive to both investors and general public.
