I wanted to whole hardheartedly support this coin, but a lack of posts from the dev, the utterly crazy diff, and the lack of pool software has killed this coin before it got started.

GL with it, but I doubt it will go anywhere now

Yeah, I'm about to give up too. It's just MaxCoin v2.o -- Why release something when you've yet to have it all prepared. People much rather wait an additional week to have the coin prepared, fair, and the devs not as busy.

we call this pre-mine  Grin

So, what everyone is saying that is when there is no instamine, its a fail?

The diff is silly right now but its still below target - theres a lot of CPU power on this.
I call bullshit.  With 4000 cores by time to block is still under 20 mins.  I haven't had a block in 3 hours when my time to block was 3.5 mins.  That is NOT luck variation.  Something is seriously wrong here.

You may be on the far end of the curve for luck - I've got a little less than half of the cores you have and I've gotten around 600 coins starting with 1.x coin block.

Maybe people are on to something with the cloned wallet.dat seed thing - I did a non-cloned, rminerd pointed at a single wallet setup.

I do agree that something isnt quite right with your results, but it terrible luck or a bug.

It does distract from the main complaint that there wasnt an instamine handing out tons of blocks at below 1 diff.
Thanks this has proved my point.  The fact that I haven't had a block since about block 1000 is indicating that the cloned wallet.dat setup is not working.  What a pain.

At lest with maxcoin you could mine the thing!  Who is getting these blocks?  For me with 4000 cores NOT to be getting any blocks (ive had 4 and nothing since full rewards came in), means there must be an immense amount hashpower on this, or something isn't working right.  And I'm not prepared to mine it without support from the developer.

Shame, as I have been excited about this for months!

WTS 85 RIC by the way, 0.01 each or all for 0.7 BTC, PM for derails

I think it's just because there is a ton of hash power on this thing. People knew about the release well in advance and had time to prepare unlike other CPU coins recently. Plus the fact that the difficulty adjusted by the time rewards started coming in, no one got 'instamine' blocks. Dev has posted numerous times here since the release as well, there's no indication he's just letting it die.

maybe 4000 cores is not enought anymore! lol

Just read all the post about a virus.

Consensus now miner is not a virus? We've moved on from that topic?

No, it's not a virus. It's a typical false positive that follows wallets. Most people were just blowing it up to scare away the competition. Not that it's any easier for the most of us lot considering most people are using huge server farms and botnets.
