I must be going crazy... I had this working on one machine, then think I screwed it up and have tried on 2 fresh installs and I get same result. How do I figure out what is wrong?
I got the linux-64.zip file and the rminerd_linux_x86_64.tar.gz from the official places
I unzipped them both. Created the conf as listed on page 30.. Changed password, and username (nothing else)
When starting ./rminerd -o localhost:28332 -u matchconf -p matchpconf
I get

riecoind is running and I get this:

Launch was fine, we had a windows wallet long before the reward was worth anything.
On top of that its a new type of prime numbers coin! Now we can start building a community around it.

This is why no ones tries anything new in crypto - bunch of tards crying that since coins arent just handed to them for showing up, its a fail launch.
New algorithm that might actually do something slightly useful and everything isnt perfect for computer illiterate children = fail.
And its actually better than any of the Scrypt clone launches recently

50 i7 machines, 700k kH/s each according to the miner. This coin is very hard to mine

I honestly thought the launch went pretty good.
I had plenty of time to get everything set up. The unofficial windows wallet arrived before the blocks had rewards. Connected without issues within 10mins.
To me this has been a perfect launch.

go make a pool since you arent retarded. or learn how to solo and wait. You will get the same if you stay on the coin.
pools are centralizing coins and are bad for coins especially for new ones. 51% is extremely easy to happen with a pool at start. satoshi himself have warned that pools are potentially threat for bitcoin
furthermore the coin has a new algo. there is no easy way to make a pool for a new algo.
Coin is very difficult to mine. Which means only a few people have coins and those blocks arent even full. About 430 coins have been mined with reduced reward too. The coins that have been mined are about 10k in a few hours. Its not a coin that you get thousands from a block and you end up with billions that have no value
P.S. I have a few coins if anyone is asking to pay a reasonable price.

Very possible the results are a false positive. All of my miners report findings when looking at the site. The riecoin wallet that I got from here with the google drive link came back clean (FWIW)
