Today I bought a lot of ric at 56 sat, sold at 74 and plan to buy again. Let them dump, it is profitable for me. And if they even lower the price very low, then it does not matter, I'll keep it. We've contacted CMC and Cryptoid re: using our data.  I think it's a catch-22 with insufficient volume to garner dev interest from their side.  If we hear back I'll update here.

Regards US Citizens frankly we don't want to get sucked in to FATCA reporting requirements.  We're doing Zapple "properly" rather than just creating a quick exchange.  This means there are regulatory requirements for us to comply with (sadly as well as tech moving on since 2015 so have regulations).

We're currently going through a process to obtain a cryptocurrency exchange license in Estonia.  We're also, in parallel, working on obtaining EMI license so that we can accept fiat funds.  More than that we'll be able to issue debit cards and offer full banking facilities for customers.  We're looking at December 2018 for accepting fiat and Q2 2019 for debit cards and full banking facilities.  Shortly after that we should also be able to fofer debit card that takes live balance based on your crypto-holdings without even needing to "cash-out" to EUR/USD first.  We'll initially be offering accounts in EUR/GBP and hoping to expand to USD and SE Asia currencies in late 2019.

There's a lot going on.  All of this means we need to comply completely with legal requirements and right now we're taking a "no US Citizens" approach to reduce our risk until we've worked out a reporting system that's compliant.  The good news is we intend to offer it, the bad news is we're not right now.

All the above should prove a big draw for Zapple.  We'll also be looking for market makers to provide liquidity across pairs who will receive no-fee trades and potentially even be paid for providing the liquidity (if you're interested, message me).

Our current focus isn't on promoting the exchange but growing the technology, business, licensing and regulatory requirements so that we can move Zapple into a multi-asset bank over the next few years.  Hopefully that gives some hope as to the future.

If anyone does want to help Zapple with promotion at the moment or is interested in working with us in a market/promotion context please drop me a message.  We're working flat-out on delivering everything else but if right person wants to help we could look at doing that sooner than later.

Part of our full banking suite of services will provide both "banking" and "exchange" services.  You'll have a separate balance for each.  The banking side will include a full wallet to store user funds in.  RIC will be one of these for a web wallet and we'll allow users to have their own keys to access this at some point (this won't be until next year though).

If a faucet/explorer/wallet/etc. need hosting we could support this as I'm personally happy to see RIC grow.  We have node and hosting capacity so it is something we could support if needed.

It will be? It's been time since leaving Poloniex was synonymous with Game Over! But I need to agree with you that Poloniex was being very toxic to RIC! Numerous problems with deposits... Thanks for the cheap RIC.

I agree with you but I think that it will have more chance in case of following.
1. Developer team is still have time to develop this coin.
2. Community is still support for it.
3. We get more exchange for trading it.
And it will more better if we will get support from business or another partnership, then RIC should have marketing team. ( or re-organize ).

Zapple is a very good exchange Crypto-currency.
But few people know about it, since it has recently been opened.
Do not sell your ric for this ridiculous price. Move your coins to a new exchange (zapple.com) and wait for the update of the wallet and news on the project. If you have the opportunity, it is better to buy more coins for averaging the price. I'm going to do it tomorrow.

P.S. It will be very good if the developers apply for a listing of the coin to another exchange.
Polo is a bullshit. They trade only bots, people do not decide anything.

I suppose the lesson here is, when your coin is down to one exchange it is mandatory to list elsewhere. If wallet is ever disabled for an extended period of time, volume may slip below the primary exchanges volume threshold.
If you have two exchanges with one wallet disabled, at least arbitrage bots will keep volume up.

Almost as if Polo did this intentionally.

this project is alive and well meaning that there is at least one exchange supporting it, discussions are held of upgrading the algo to find even bigger prime numbers and a few people are willing to upgrade the wallet claiming the bounty.

i don't know if these changes are going to be implemented but community is here, Gatra is here (he is paying the bounty along with dga) and the coin has a purpose.

I lost with this coin nearly 0.5 btc. Because I bought at price in more than 1,000 satoshi. I decided to not sell them and I installed desktop wallet and transferred to my desktop wallet already.

I'm sure that Zapple will grow up. Zapple can support RIC.
I also agree with you that RIC need more exchanges. I'd like to propose to our community and Gatra to list RIC at Livecoin , Yobit or Cryptopia.
If RIC can be listed more than 1 exchange , we will have more opportunity to grow up.

So you expected that a newborn exchange would so easily suck the Poloniex's volume? This is normal that the volume is still very low. As soon as Zapple becomes a bigger exchange, the volume will be much better, and I have confidence that they are working everyday to grow their exchange. Currently, I think that Riecoin helps Zapple to be more famous more than the other side.

Sure, no updates since 4 years is just ridiculous, so much work has to be done, but a coin with developers now working on updating the wallet, miners and pools supporting the network, regular members talking about the project, is not a dead one. We could agree that it was dormant for years, but currently, it is wakening and far from dead.

Just come back in a few months for the wallet update, listings in multiple DEX, better recognition of Zapple, and the game will just begin here. Ideas for a hard fork were already proposed to improve even more the point of this coin. Before all that, the volume does not even matter at all.

Or never come back if you still think that the coin is dead, and let it die in peace...

this coin is dead for sure. and listing on zapple wont matter because it was listed on zapple on 8-6-2018 and still volume didn't even change.

No, we do not.  Anybody that is a resident or citizen of the United Stated of America or its territories may not join Zapple.  The same applies for any customer that may be a "US Person" and subject to reporting for US taxation purposes.  We do not allow US customers as Zapple is not currently positioned to provide the taxation reporting information to US authorities.  At a future point we will support customers from the USA.


I am in the U.S. and I created an account with Zapple. The account creation was super simple and I was happy. I sent my coin over but that was before I realized they are not serving U.S. residents as of yet so then I was sad...I sent my coin back to Polo. Now I'm sitting here watching this wallet trickle along worried like everyone else. lol

This is the case for RIC but for so many other projects...

It should be a strong reason because in all cases, that does not give a good feeling
and trust.
