Thanks a lot for your detailed answer!!!

Any link on how to setup and run a bookkeeping node?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Antshares/comments/6j72n5/setting_up_a_node_and_cli_client_on_linux/

I am not running a node myself, so I cannot offer any extra help than that, but from what I understand you need 10,000 ANS/NEO to run a node. The rebranding should be done on the 24th, so probably around that time I would not be surprised if more information on this also becomes available in the West.

You would require a significant amount of ANS/NEO AFAIK. How much of them I am unsure .

For ANS holders here is a pretty simple, very helpful calculator so you can approximate how quickly you will accumulate Neo/Ant Coins :

You are welcome, enjoy Grin

Great prg!
Thanks a lot!

Any idea why with a window wallet open 24h and with 11000 ANS i get just 2,5 to 3 ANC per day?

thanks Smiley

That seems a little low, and you don't need your wallet open. I would do an exact 24 hour measurement. Also make sure to let your wallet synch up and add up all the ANC. It usually takes mine ~5 minutes to do so if I check every few days.

You get 11000 ANC/GAS over 22 years with 11000 ANS/NEO (but the majority of it will be generated in the first few years as stated in the Whitepaper). We should however also be receiving dividends later on in time. Let's say an individual registers an asset on the blockchain for 10000 ANC.....that 10000 ANC will then be divided amongst all ANS/NEO holders and the bookkeeping nodes. So as the blockchain gets used more (also dependent on the fees that will be set), then the dividends will increase over time, whilst the basic ANC generation will fall. Also keep in mind that in special circumstances those dividends could also be paid in other currencies instead of ANC. It is in the interest of ANS/NEO holders not to set the fees too high as otherwise the network will not be used, but also not too low as otherwise there is no profit. Initially however it likely will be in their interest to charge minimal fees for optimal network growth.

Also keep in mind that you do not need to leave your wallet open as ANS/NEO holder. It will not make any difference whether you leave your wallet open or closed unless you are running a bookkeeping node (which you certainly could do with that amount) and even if you are running a bookkeeping node, it depends on what the bookkeeping nodes have decided on the fees to define the amount of extra ANC earned.

So does anybody have any idea to the advantage of running a bookkeeping node with 10,000+ ANS vs just holdings the ANS in a wallet with regards to collecting ANC/NEO?
There is a very good post on reddit /r/antshares

Ok, I see they talk about it, but now where is it clear bookkeeping actually accumulates more ANC/NEO then just holding in a wallet, though you think it would.

I believe the Whitepaper states that bookkeeping nodes can operate without charging fees if 2/3 of the bookkeeping nodes agree. I think that that might be the case for the time being. In the long run all NEO holders should receive dividends derived from transaction fees on the network (separate from the ANC/GAS generation over the 22 years). The bookkeeping nodes will in all likelyhood later on simply receive a larger cut of the dividends as reward for running the blockchain. It could be that the bookkeeping nodes will in turn hand over a certain amount of those extra profits to those NEO holders who voted for those bookkeeping nodes. This would then likely be negotiated per node.

Got my coins from Bittrex. Almost all of them. Made a backup from my wallet and restored it and it worked perfect. Now i can sleep with a good feeling.

Just one more question. if i send more coins to my wallet in the next weeks do i need to make a new backup that includes the added coins or can i now just use the current backup file forever?

You only need to make a new backup when you add new private keys to your wallet. If you always just use the same address already in your backed up wallet tou dont need to make a new backup. The exception is where you create wallets with key words. Best though to make a backup after each new private key is added to be safe.

The new international Binance exchange which appears to be listing NEO on the 24th of July seems not to be charging any fees whatsoever for NEO initially until the NEO trading volume becomes extremely large. This means trading NEO at Binance is free for the time being! From what I understood though Binance intends to charge a fee of 0.1% for others, so at a later point in time that probably will also become the fee for NEO. Binance also indicated that it will add ANC is there is a lot for demand for it, but it will not do so just yet.

I have moved my Antshares coins to Android wallet. When they switch to Neo will I need to exchange the coins for their new coin or not?

No, you should not need to do anything except possibly download a new client version when the time comes. It is still exactly the same thing whether it is called ANS or NEO.

It would appear that the target date for the rebranding of the website, communities, media platforms, client, whitepaper and trading platforms is the 24th of July. At the end of the month probably more effort will be put into the cooperation with other developers to build various products onto NEO.

What do you guys believe to be a good entry point/bottom for this stock?

That is something you have to answer for yourself. You have to calculate what you think NEO/ANS will be worth in a certain amount of time and then decide what you would be willing to pay for it at this point in time. I always would be wary of trusting anyone's advice on the internet with your money. Always do your own research. Of course with any investment the key idea is to buy low and sell high, but you have to figure out what a realistic low price is and a realistic high price is. In case you set your buy price too low, you might risk not being able to buy it all. In case you set it too high, you might lose out on profits. If you are an investor, you should be able to trust in the fundamentals or not invest at all in case you do not trust the fundamentals. Never buy something in which you do not believe yourself as an investor. In case you are a daytrader, you might want to reconsider daytrading as you will likely get taken advantage of by other daytraders if you have to ask for prices.

whats the minimum amount of antshares you can buy and then transfer out of Bittrex to a
offline wallet ?

I posted the Bittrex response on the previous page. The minimum withdrawal might be 1.35 ANS/NEO assuming Bittrex still has a 0.35 ANS withdrawal fee meaning you would get 1 ANS/NEO in your wallet. It seems the withdrawal amount should be larger than two times the withdrawal fee and not be rounded down to zero as ANS/NEO are indivisible. 0.8 ANS will be rounded down to zero for example when removing them from the exchange.

Hello,
is there any reason to hold this coin?
I wish I hasn't decide to sell at 500k sat because now crypto is in downtrend and even good coin is better to sell.

I  heard something about rebradning antshares? Is it true?

Yes, because this a coin many want which is why it is up an impressive 30% in the last week while most other coins are down 30%. Antshares is essentially ETH for China, since China always like to support it's home grown products it has a great future. It is hard to predict the next few months, but a couple years out this coin could be worth hundreds. Plus you can earn ANC/NEO just by holding it - essentially 10% free interest.
