The M's in the iEx.ec Roadmap, at each product version release stand for "month", relatively to the beginning of the project implementation.
The project implementation starts after the end of a valid crowdsale.
So for example the release of "V1 Essential" is planned for the 6th month from the beginning of the project implementation.

Does it makes sense to get your computation tasks done through centralized silos, specifically in IoT? I believe it doesn't. It obviously works better when datas and servers are close to each others.
