Hay Guys,

So I have just updated my post on page 8 for SOLO mining your own wallet.

Hear are the settings you should be using with wallet V1.1.6

1st go to %appdata%/ROICOIN/

Make a file called ROIcoin.conf

Paste this in to it.

Code:
rpcuser=mine
rpcpassword=miner
rpcport=23110
txindex=1
server=1
listen=0
rpcbind=127.0.0.1
bind=127.0.0.1
RPCport = 3377
miningaddress=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

Now save.

Now download HODLminer by woolf http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/hodlminer-wolf-2.zip

Edit the bat file

Code:
hodlminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 40 -q -D --coinbase-addr=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

And you are good to go.

Dont forget to change wallet key for your own and change the amount of threads "-t"

If I helped you donate to me here   RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

hi,

Anybody do solo mining right now. Any updates if got any block . If did what is your hash rate? number of days? thanks.

I think those solo mining days ar gone, now. In my opinion, with the increasing network hash rate, there is no chance of solo mining. Only pool mining is ok now.

I agree as well. I think you need a good amount of hash rate to successfully get blocks in solo mining. Pool is the way to go if you only have an ordinary CPU

Maybe your miner is the problem. Here https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binary you find the latest miner for different kind of CPU instructions. Try and see what miner is best for you and tell as your result.

Do you know any optimized hodlminer for linux ?

Hello everyone!
I just discovered this coin a few days ago and I immediately liked what I saw. I started mining on suprnova and already have some coins deposited for 1 year and everything worked like a charm.

Now I have a question regarding the solo-cluster mining: I have my Xeon E3-1230v3 (4 cores) running 4 instances of hodlminer-avx2 (with core-binding) on the solo-cluster. Unfortunately I have never hit a block (and it's been almost 4 days now....). Is this a normal probability distribution or is there something wrong? Because on suprnova I would probably have made the equivalent of 1-2 blocks in the same amount of time.

Thank you and good luck with this project!

Welcome to ROI Cheesy

If I was you I would put 1 instance on a pool and one on the cluster. This gives you a chance to solo mine a block and a stream of coins.

As  Blue9999 said things was much easyer months back. Now the best thing is to see it as a lotto.

It all depends on luck. I used to hit blocks when the difficultly was lower back in December/January. If you are lucky you can hit 2-3 blocks on the same day if not like you said 4days with no blocks. If you want steady income I suggest pool mining. If you really want solo you can try cluster mining

Hello World!
Quick update:

Out of curiosity I built a spreadsheet of cpu coins and mining profitability and what I found is amazing...

If you mine and dump ROI coin beats out every other cpu coin...

If you mine and hodl ROI destroys every other cpu coin...

I am going to code up a website display that will show all of this so we can share that with the cryptoworld...

You should do it as a compaire for all coins.

So if you put in stats for ROI mining it shows you vs all other coins. Or if you put in stats for xmg it shows you for all other coins Cheesy

I totally need some guidance to optimize my miners.I don't know what to do anymore.

Dual E5-2680v2(2*CPU=20 cores/40threads) system gets between 900-1100H/s. Win7.64GB memory
Running Hodlminer-avx

Dual E5-2680v4(2*CPU=28 cores/56threads) system gets 600H/s.Win7.64GB memory.
Running Hodlminer-avx2

Where to even begin with???

I read something about setting affinity values in hex.But how to set them for dual cpu systems?Should I start two(2) miners?

My system gets around 1100 ~1300 H/s running with DUAL E5-2660v2 40 threads 64GB memory just one instance Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

I think it's will help you from the ROI COIN youtube channel:

How To Mine ROIcoin, HODL Algorithm And Save Upto 50% Power And More Hash Rate
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Bx6SIG6_70

I want to know some tips to do in the linux.

Does not help a bit.No matter what I do,I will only get 650H/s with DUAL E5-2680v4(56threds).This systems SHOULD give close to 1700H/s!!

Edit:Tried Cryptonight algo.Getting 1485H/s.Hodlminer NOT working.

I tried again to ask Blockfolio if they can add ROI to their listing and this is their answer:

"We're sorry for having you wait.

Unfortunately Coinsmarkets is no longer online.  CryptHub is currently planned for implementation in Blockfolio.  It's on our radar.

To help us prioritize which exchanges / coins we add (and help get to the ones you want faster) we ask that users vote on them here:

https://feedback.blockfolio.com/exchange-requests/p/stocksexchange  "

We shoukld get community to start voting.

Awesome and great work on this!
