Thanks for the update, @artos. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I'm excited for the mixing service. It'll certainly set this coin apart from the endless slew of clone coins. Seems like there's 2 new coins a day. Getting nuts.

TECHNOLOGY, BABY!
Disappear for a week and everybody is ready to tar and feather you... I just returned from a business trip to Japan. Found some free time to climb Mt Fuji and relax in the Hakone hot spring. Sometimes it's nice to disconnect yourself from everything. Anyway... StableCoin 1.5 Mac and Ubuntu wallets are now available.

Mac: https://mega.co.nz/#!0AY3FQbb!T5wdjVvp3oDfr9Ucun4Dw2JaF0wePwP5xy50meuwn9k
Ubuntu: https://mega.co.nz/#!zZEzHTzA!CvWvM1c32nmOb6yNU_YI1XqfrN83l2Mz7X_k5D6_Yfk

As a bonus, either later today or tomorrow I will be making a post to collect a list of individuals interested in beta testing the mixing service.

Excellent news! Glad to see things are going well, and I'd definitely be interested in testing the mixing service Smiley

Just a heads-up... we're experiencing segfaults on the SBC.BlockExplorer.io block explorer pretty much at a 1 minute interval. Monit is restarting the Abe process lickety-split but I understand that it may be annoying to keep seeing an error page.

It appears to be an issue with API calls and I may have to disable all API access until we can get it sorted out. This will allow web visitors to use the system but you won't be able to use the API to power your coin tools. I don't think Abe was ever meant to directly serve over 1 request per second and it doesn't support a good caching strategy.

I'm going to put out a project proposal for someone to port Abe to a more performant framework/language (NodeJS, Golang, etc). The Abe codebase is a beast, so we'll focus on easily-maintainable code and, above all, generally error-free operation.

Again, sorry about the errors but we'll push ahead.

EDIT: Upgraded all PostgreSQL-related bits and the segfaults have appeared to stop. We'll keep monitoring it but we've re-enabled all API calls, in the mean time.

How would we go about informing coinwarz that their information for StableCoin is wrong, sincen they still have the 40 second block time, which means their number of coins per day is wrong?  If ya do the math, the number should actually be 1/3 less than what it shows...
Bottom of the page . . . "Contact us" . . . so contact them. Grin

Should we send a message through their 'Contact Us' link? (not being snarky)

Don't take it personally, humans are suspicious in their nature. How was your vacation?

He's stated he woulde be away on vacation, and he's been online at SBC forums. I'd rather have him working than commenting every five.minutes feeding us smoke and purple clouds, yet at the same time I do believe this coin needs a dedicated PR/marketing person to handle progress and announcements. We have a great group of people here who are willing to support the development of this coin for the.long haul.

Here's the problem, he's not feeding us smoke, purple clouds, or any information at all. I'm definitely long on Stablecoin, but the lack of communication regarding the estimated release  of the main selling point is troubling. I don't know if artos, who did disappear for a few months after a bit of controversy, grasps the amount of PR needed. I would be willing to donate a bit of stablecoin to get an actual fund for some marketing once the service has  a planned release.

I wouldn't say it is a problem at this stage.  Yes, until the mixing feature comes out, it isn't likely that a ton of people are going to start using the coin.  If there is news about its progress, yes, it would be nice to know.  Until then, mine the coin if you want to and you think it will be worth something.  People should stop acting like kids saying are we there yet every time they get bored.

If you don't believe in Artos or the coin, be quiet and let the rest of us mine in peace.

This isn't directed enitrely at you Ximp, but more of a general statement.

Good points. My real concern is not that I don't know what's going on at this very moment, but rather this general lack of communication and the impending zerocoin service are big issues waiting to happen for stablecoin.

No offense taken, I can see how constant pestering gets annoying.

I've been on both sides of the fence regarding Artos' communication, but for the mean time I'm enjoying the low difficulty! Grin

36,000 coins per day, 60*24*25

The new target block time since the 1.4 change has been 60 seconds, not 40 seconds.
You mean 1.5. Still if it is 60 seconds per block that is: 60*24=1440 blocks per day, that equals to 36000 SBC per day.

The General
Can someone tell me how many stablecoins are produced each day through mining?

Normally I would think 40 second block time at 25 coins per block would be = 900 coins per day. But that is too low and obviously wrong  Huh,

For 40 second block time at 25 coins per block it should be 54,000 coins per day.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
