The technical value of this project is obvious to all, but I am concerned about whether the project owner is rich or has enough resources to keep SEM underestimated

Can the developers give an example of how the Semux technology can be used with a real life example?
To get a better understanding.

Two things

1. BFT is about a new paradigm of consensus that is more immediate.  You only need one confirmation.  No forking.
2. High performance - Semux can already handle 5,000 txs / block.. 10,000 txs/block tests are supposed to be done any day now once enough have upgraded to RC5.

BFT is powerful.  See this post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.27451730
I've heard so many times that these features words, but still do not understand "Semux can already handle 5,000 txs / block" What does this mean?

The number of transactions. That's why they call bitcoin slow and outdated, as they can't process many transactions per block.

Any idea which other companies are using the BFT principle? Competition in the market?

What is minimum blocktime BFT can achieve?

This was a valid question

Its really hard for a newbie to get started on this forum when very valid questions are deleted.

I repeat my question to developers and would much appreciate their insites from experience. I like to know minimum block time BFT can acheive between blocks. Not what Semux is actively doing now, but what you developers have found from your experiments. I do not wish half of this thread replies, just developers pleaze.

What exchanges is this coin trading on?

It's not listed yet in any exchange for the simple reason that this project hasn't been launched yet. But there is an OTC Trading Thread here let me give you the link later.

There it is:

Thought of the day...

Quoting Ersin Taskin from the cryptography mailing list...

"Consider Bitcoin for instance. It is slow, cumbersome, expensive, environmentally hostile, etc. You don't even have determinism. You are not sure if your valid transaction will make it to the ledger because some miners may not like your fee or whatever or those who mine your transaction cannot win the lottery. The so claimed consistency is very eventual. Imagine you need AT LEAST one hour to be ALMOST sure. A Byzantine tolerant digital cash system can achieve a few seconds absolute transaction determinism (a valid transaction sent to the system must be registered to the ledger and an invalid transaction must be rejected at all times) and be used in POS scenarios. "

Semux using Byzantine Fault Tolerance therefore has what Ersin refers to as "absolute transaction determinism."  Watch this space, the Semux developers are way ahead of the curve.  Can't wait to see Semux running 10,000 txs/block all day long.

Was the bitcoin airdrop issue ever resolved? Many users did not receive their drop from last week - I told my friend to re-sign up for this week and see if he receives it now

Hi @sailthor, all BTC airdrop application submitted before 2018/01/01 9:39:43 AM EST have been processed. The next batch would be on Jan 7, 2018

If you didn't receive the airdrop, please double check your BTC balance via https://www.semux.org/btc/ and the signature you submitted.
Can I join Semux signature campaign, dev? Has it still been opened for new participants? Thank you for your time and your answers, your dedicated efforts for the project.

You can still apply for signing Semux's signature movement, but you may not be able to qualify, so you can just try to look at luck first. Wink
