How many coins could you mine with a Radeon 280x per day?

Ah okay, in my confusion I thought it was expanse (EXP)

It seems people have more interest in Expanse, but less interest in Shift. Is there any reason for that?

I guess that's mainly due to the fact that the price went up a lot. People tend to cheerlead for that Smiley

Very true. "Nothing succeeds like success." If Shift leaps up too, you'll be amazed at how popular it will become. Wink

For some reason I found Expanse's thread when it was announced but I missed Shift's . Also, you get to see the bio of every core team member of Expanse, including photo, I guess that's pretty transparent to me.  Lastly, I can't resist its partnership with Microsoft Azure and the strong marketing effect.

Hi sotisoti,

we launched a few days before EXP did back in 2015.

As for the member list, a new team introduction paragraph is already done and will be released soon. Please check back after the relaunch!

We can't comment on the Azure partnership, but we are happy for EXP they have come such a long way. They are paving the way for all alternative Ethereum forks, no matter if they were the first or second or third one to launch.

Also we have to admit our marketing has been lacking a lot but we are happy to say we filled the public relations position lately with a very valuable person.

I'm putting together a campaign for Digital Ocean to support 1 click $SHF nodes. Check out this:

Retweet and Comment. Let Digital Ocean know we want them to support blockchains and that $SHF is the best.

Hey Joint Force,

love to see community activity like yours! You have been a supporter from day one, much appreciated!

UPDATE

We have to apologize for a slight delay.

We were a bit too optimistic, it's the Easter weekend and until now we haven't heard
back at all from Bleutrade since contacting them a few days ago. We also weren't able
to get a reply from Bittrex today so we have to push the final swap details.

What you need to know: the point where the old chain stops will be on Tuesday
(Mar 29) evening (GMT)
. To participate in the swap all you need to do is have your
coins in your wallet or on Bittrex. They confirmed their support in prior conversations.

We will have detailed swap instructions available as soon as possible.

Please check back regularly.

Ethos is an Ethereum mining platform, but in this config file is there no command line for the pool.

http://ethosdistro.com/

Without hands on experience I'm not much help.

But did you see this:

# proxypool1 eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008
# proxypool2 eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008

Tried changing that?

Can anybody tell me, how to configure Ethos to mine SHIFT?

Quote
# AUTOMATIC REBOOT NOTES
#
# You are able to reboot remotely. Start with "1" (no quotes) to reboot a rig:
#
# reb a23def 1
#
# Then, if you want to reboot again, increment it to 2, then 3, then 4, etc etc (never skip any numbers).

I don't know what ETHOS is or how it works, but SHIFT mining does not differ from ETH mining.

Just fill in your pool details (shift.suprnova.cc) and you should be good.

Let me know if it works out!

Bittrex wallets down again

We'll look into it, thanks for the info!

Seems SHIFT is only marked in the wallet overview as "In Maintenance". The market is live.

We're trying to reach Bittrex.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are planning to have the timeline for the relaunch up later this afternoon (GMT).

This will include a time & date for next week when the old chain no longer accepts new blocks. Coins mined after this time will not be eligible for the swap!

Please check back regularly.

#
# If using "pool" parameter, write WORKER (a placeholder variable) in place of rig name (i.e. NOT rig1, myrig, home, warehouse2, etc).
#
# pool:         use this if you have a network proxy or to define a getwork pool (example: http://pool.com:port/WORKER )
# stratumproxy:      enabled or disabled, if enabled, you will bypass "pool" and connect to stratum proxy located on this rig
# proxy wallet:    the ethereum address to which this rig's proxy will mine (only used if stratumproxy is enabled)
# proxypool1:      this rig's stratum proxy's first pool (only used if stratumproxy is enabled)
# proxypool2:      this rig's stratum proxy's failover pool (only used if stratumproxy is enabled)
# flags:      set desired ethminer flags here
# maxgputemp:      the temperature in C that your GPUs will trigger ethminer to turn off
# globalcore:      set the global core clock of all GPUs
# globalmem:       set the global mem clock of all GPUs
# globalfan:       set the fan speed percent of all GPUs
# globalpowertune:   set the power tune setting of all GPUs (notes from dev: 20 is default/max on everything except 290/390; r9 290 should use 50)
#
# Your WORKER names are assigned automatically by the OS, do not change them. They are 6-digit alphanumeric codes.
#
# cor [worker]:   set the core clock of individual GPUs on a single rig, [worker] is the worker/rig name of the single rig as assigned by the OS.
# mem [worker]:   set the core clock of individual GPUs on a single rig, [worker] is the worker/rig name of the single rig as assigend by the OS.
# fan [worker]: set the fan speed of individual GPUs on a single rig, [worker] is the worker/rig name of the single rig as assigend by the OS.
# pwr [worker]: set the powertune of individual GPUs on a single rig, [worker] is the worker/rig name of the single rig as assigend by the OS.
