when is the next wallet release as mine keeps turning off my laptop and then when i restart silk wallet same thing happens to me
i have to delete and download it again but then it has to sync again its happen three times to me,but if next wallet release is soon i
would rather wait till then,when can we expect to see the next one?

I wish i could help, but i think you have done everything i would have suggested.
Have you got another computer to try it on?
I havnt experienced such problems myself, but tomorrow someone should be able to help you

I tried deleting everything but my backed-up wallet.dat on the flash drive and doing another clean install.
Now I can't even get the Silkcoin wallet to open without giving me the same runtime error warning and crashing.

Anyone know what to do?

Uh oh.

I just had my Windows 7 upgraded from 32 to 64-bit, and some RAM added.
Prior to doing so, I backed up my wallet.dat to a flash drive.
After the upgrade, as expected, there was no Silkcoin folder in AppData>Roaming.
I re-installed the Silkcoin wallet, and before I got it up-to-date, I replaced the wallet.dat with my backed-up version.
When it got done, I restarted the computer.
Opened the wallet and saw the balance I expected to see.
Tested it out by attempting to send 1 SILK to an exchange account and got this message:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Then it shut itself down and said this:

"Silkcoin-qt.exe has stopped working

A problem cause the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

This problem was repeatable.  
How do I get my wallet to function properly from here?  It stakes well and everything but it only matters if I can get my coin back out of there.
I recommend everyone else who has backed up their wallet.dat test your wallet by trying to send coin to another account and see if you're having similar issues.

A probably-unrelated issue is that after I replaced my wallet.dat with my backed-up file, I started getting the following warning upon opening the wallet:

"Warning: error reading wallet.dat!  All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect."
I checked the transaction history and everything is Kosher.

The real problem here is that when I try to send coins out of my wallet, it crashes.

Yes and once the volume stays steady, no bots will ever be able to bring the price down, the multipool is going to make a big difference too.

I think Pandionrain may have actually killed the bot. . . . . for now.

Here is the final list of coins that will be mined on the silk pool. I am watching new algo's so see what coins aren't total scams. The nist5 algo is looking like a front runner to x11. Hopping the new coins for nist aren't scams. Any new coins some one has some hot info about?

I think silk has a bright future. I wouldn't be spending my money on it if I didn't thinks so. Silk was widely distributed, anyone else remember how much volume we had when things were booming? Even looking at the rich list vs other coins shows how many people hold silk! Once we put value back into the coins, and start with the crowd funding development. The sky is the limit!

Quite true, and it also appears there have been people trying to manipulate the market with bots etc. It cant last for much longer

Almost here.

A lite campaign is OK and good to get the word out that SILK is back and better than ever but I don't think we should stress too much about the prices.  The shakeouts are happening to all the remaining weak hands which we don't need or want anyway.  We want a nice distribution to people willing to stake their SILK.

I'm buying right now because I see the bright future SILK has but in order for the prices to really climb, we need to bring something new and innovative to crypto.  We're off to a good start with a cleaned up wallet and a transparent community effort but that won't be enough.  Buying SILK is an investment, it's not a pump and dump and it's not a get rich quick.
