The new DarkSilk splashcreen looks pretty awesome!

Pretty dark (black) too.
I can't believe you people are still around you were dead and reborn quite a few times! Is this just another life or it's life?
Will try to follow if I can.

I remember I bought and trade some silkcoin when it was still SC on bittrex... it seemed a very nice coin.

It is a very nice coin
and with the new DarkSilk they will be even nicer

I too think the Splashscreen  it's a bit dark
like bhokor said enhancing the contrast between the embossed scorpion and the background will do

Final Splashscreen for DarkSilk:

It is a nice design, perhaps a little more of contrast of the scorpion with the background  would be a little more visually attractive, but it is only an opinion

I have a question about the whitepaper . You cite the Shadowchat whitepaper [6] and the Bitmessage paper [18]. Given you were following this thread I'm surprised you elected to include the SDC paper since it's a rip-off of Bitmessage. Or do you not think this is the case? Could you explain this decision?

I cited both because I took the code directly from the ShadowCash GitHub and they took the code in-turn from Bitmessage.

Are you stating the code is a rip-off? It is open-source.

Or their whitepaper? I based my content off of the ShadowCash whitepaper, which I then checked through and edited errors and reworded etc. Theirs is based on Bitmessage, another reason I cited both.

Also this is in the whitepaper: "DarkSilk P2P (peer-to-peer) messaging, taken from ShadowChat which is based upon Bitmessage[18], utilises state-of-the-art encryption technology to keep your communications private."

So I ask you, what is the issue? I also ask you kindly to remove Silk from your thread.

The shadowchat paper is a transparent rip-off as anybody can plainly see. The code I cannot speak to. You couldve referenced the Bitmessage paper and the SDC Github I suppose. Anyway its not my bag. Well done on releasing the paper, Ill give it a read later. Good Luck.

coolio.  well welcome to the thread man. any questions are welcome!

The bitmessage paper was referenced and cited in the Silk Network whitepaper. I don't understand what the issue is???

His point is I should of referenced the ShadowChat GitHub but at the same time I did take a bulk of information directly from the whitepaper of SDC and they in turn took from Bitmessage. I believe what I have done in the Silk Network whitepaper is absolutely fine and accurately cites what it needed. There is no point in the whitepaper where I quote the code directly that I took from SDC, which in-turn gives no place for citation.

Nice to see that someone is passionate though about morals and making sure people get the recognition they deserve.

To be honest I have a feeling that Child_Harold is probably the same as most of the people in this thread.

Been fucked. Basically. Pardon my french.

But seriously, this is more than likely the case.

Why not just come and join us dude, and actually be a part of a good community with public and honest, hardworking developers?

Time to stop falling for scams.

I 100% agree with this. Because that is exactly what I've done.

yep.  been lots of butthurt with this coin.  but ive kept it solid and honest for a couple years now and in addition we got a damn fine dev leading the charge.  who also has some freakin values.  hard to find in crytos.
