block explorer?
estimated altcoin supply over the next 10 years?
thanks

OK so estimating coin supply of DRKSLK in 10 years time with the 45,000,000 instamine for SILK swap taken into account:

There is a 42,000 block period where PoW mining can take place.

This doesn't mean that every block of the 42,000 block mining period is a PoW block because after 4 hours and 420 blocks the coins mined will mature and then can be staked and this will generate PoS blocks that go toward the tota 42,000 blocks where PoW mining can take place.

But let's imagine no PoS blocks are generated and every wallet doesn't stake (which won't happen but we are imagining):

5,256,000 minutes in 10 years (we are ignoring leap years).

PoW blocks are every 60 seconds and the block reward is 42.

42,000 x 42 = 1,764,000DRKSLK over the course of 42,000 minutes/PoW blocks/1 Month.

5,214,000 minutes remain of the 10 years in question and we have 1,764,000DRKSLK in circulation.

PoS blocks are every 64 seconds and are a static PoS reward of 1 and with split stake.

5,124,000 minutes / 64 seconds = 4,803,750DRKSLK produced from PoS.

So after 10 years the estimated amount to be in circulation is 51,567,750DRKSLK.

Bearing in mind PoS throws things out a bit.

So in 10 years time (estimated) this would leave 38,432,250DRKSLK which would equate to 73 more years till the total supply of 90,000,000DRKSLK is met.

83 years total for the total coin supply to be met from the zero hour (moment of launch).

What in fact will happen is that after 420 blocks stake will happen which will effectively knock the amount of PoW blocks generated during the 42,000 block period in half.

This would then in fact produce just 893,180DRKSLK roughly during that period from both PoW and PoS blocks. Add on the 4,803,750DRKSLK from PoS over 10 years and add on the 45,000,000DRKSLK premine/instamine we have 50,697,720DRKSLK in circulation in 10 years time.

Short answer, 50.7Million Tongue

However, the premine isn't a definite and the way the launch is handled is also not final.

  There will be a block explorer for DarkSilk when the coin is launched.  You can find the block explorer for Silkcoin in the Ann.

  Darksilk is currently is testing.  (2 in 1 threas here (-;)

Testing is going well.

Just testing Sandstorm, the fees involved, Stormnodes and InstantX.

In terms of the systems for Weaver, the online wallets, transaction explorer, mining pool for DarkSilk PoW period, multipool are basically complete. Just got the swap/purchase system to finalise and some other little bits and pieces.

Big call out to all investors and interested parties.

Current Funds
Cash = £0.25  |  BTC = 0.02741040

Any donations/payments would be appreciated for my continued work on DarkSilk/Silk/Weaver.

My donatory addresses are below in my signature.

Many thanks in advance to all those that do donate and have donated.

I second this notion of donations to support development. I would give today but took a 5k NXT loss yesterday due to a wallet fiasco. A few good trades and that will be made up and I will give then.

Sorry to do this to everyone but I need to rebuild the wallets and test

Best thing I can recommend is that people close their wallets and delete all data

i will conduct this round of testing alone

its easier

 Wink

I will release test wallets again once I am 100% sure the core functions are working.

The problem is that I work at such a rate that I require people testing to shutdown, clear chains, rebuild a lot. So this is why I see it best to do some in house testing for a bit first Cheesy

For those that don't have time for all that and simply want to see the wallet:

That color scheme hurts my brain. Also, someone with UX experience should help out. I understand that it's a technically advanced wallet, but the amount of parameters and checkboxes is way too high. I'll lend my time if you want some help.

Would be very interested in hearing your views and ideas for thw wallet including any ux improvements you feel may make for a better experience.   this is what testing ia all about ux and esthetics included.

  the primary focus of current testing is this extremely feature rich client and at thw same sense trying to minimise cpu usage so anyone can use it.  look forward to hearing all suggesions and i will do my best to chronicle and communicate tge group of testers as a whole.

  thanks for joining the thread!

 edit: in addition we could use help with experienced wiki writers for each segment of this client both from bare bolts and future user experience.    darksilk is a caddilac in the crypto world and has many bells and whistles.    a clear description of each of the features will be essential.

This is the latest build.

We need to test this thoroughly i.e. Stormnodes, Sandstorm, InstantX and all the other features Wink

Example Stormnode .conf Configuration
===================================================

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=MAKEUPYOUROWNUSERNAME
rpcpassword=MAKEUPYOUROWNPASSWORD
rpcport=31500
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
staking=0
port=31000
stormnodeaddr=YOUR_IP:31000
stormnode=1
stormnodeprivkey=KEY GENERATED BY COMMAND
snconflock=1 // Stormnodes (like Masternodes in Dash a.k.a. Darkcoin) can be locked via the configuration file

Set the stormnodeprivkey to the result of running:

stormnode genkey
//From the RPC console in the local wallet.

//If you are running your stormnode as a hidden service, replace YOUR_IP with your onion hostname (typically found in /var/lib/tor/YOURHIDDENSERVICENAME/hostname).

Port 31000 must be open.

//If you are using the hot/cold system where you are remotely activating your stormnode from your local wallet, you will also put these entries in your local (cold) wallet .conf:

stormnodeaddr=YOUR_IP:31000
stormnode=1
stormnodeprivkey=KEY GENERATED BY COMMAND

//Then, start the daemon on your remote stormnode, start your local wallet, and then you can start your stormnode from the RPC console:

stormnode start
