My vote goes to the bottom banner! Though without bevel/emboss filter on the Sterlingcoin logo.

The upper is quite funny, I interpret it as a faulty clock in the Big Ben tower has been plugged by Sterlingcoin....

We have employed the services of http://cryptodesign.eu/ to help with the banner ad.

I am sure the work will be of top quality, as always. I look forward to sharing the results, just as soon as possible.

You did a great job there. Looks professional!

Thanks! I made some additional changes to the OP today and sorted the website better also.

Hi,

We can see developpers were supposedly involved in their project. Marketing looks good, coin and website are from fine design.
Nevertheless, this coin perhaps does not offer much more than current existing poor coins.

Premined for "good reasons", it maybe still is premined.

I hope there will still be liquidity after POW/POS phase. The danger with POS can be hoarding. POSV may appear as a solution.

Logic shows the lower the interest rates, the more liquid the coin, but the less valuable. (effects on market capitalization if we take inflation in account)

Error to fix:

I noticed that the website of a merchant using sterlingcoin (Flawless Clothing), referenced on the coin website, probably has an unexisting website address.

Shall the coin succeed! I sincerely hope for users.

Best regards,

Arpetuos

Hi Arpetuos,

Thank you for the very insightful feedback!

We prefer the more accurate term of "instamine". Sterlingcoin was instamined only 1% before a very fair and very well announced launch. Of that 1%, 90% was given away in the spacedrop. Another 6% of that 1% instamine paid bounties for translations and such. Only 4%, or 25k SLG, of that 1% instamine was kept by the developers and those funds were depleted in the first year.

Upgrading to a more modern system of PoS is being evaluated.

I have contacted Flawless Clothing to see if they have a new website. Thank you for bringing this to attention and for taking the time to post your feedback.

There are some work to do on the original post.

Some links are broken, some a not relevant for SLG anymore. I would suggest the OP was cleaned up a lot and some new information is added such as the new wallet and/or the road map.

This would give a more accurate picture of the project for the first time visitor.

The latest "Big ben firework" makes me think of V for vendetta.

I will update the OP today. I recently went over it, correcting as needed. But I will be sure to revisit it and spruce it up a bit as you suggest.

Many thanks for the feedback!

Cheers!

I only just started on this one... It is not of banner size yet.

EDIT: If it is not obvious yet, I am trying to draw the association of 'Big Ben' being for the world and SLG being for the world.

not sure how many people is visiting CMC from UK, but if you ask them for geotargeting, you will be sure only UK people see the ads and that will make the $/potential investor(user) cheaper.
Since the UK is where sterlingcoin has the biggest competitive advantage (Sterling in UK means their coin, nationalism) while in other parts of the world doesn't mean anything.

You could start with a 50$ campaing and see the results

I started on a banner for this purpose and following the 'nationalism' idea you mention, https://i.imgur.com/6n6KSue.png I know it needs more work, but let me know if you like the direction. Just an idea I had and I have yet to get any feedback in irc/slack.

I agree that in parts of the world the "UK appreciation" is not the same, but in my personal opinion, it is not limited to "only" either side of the pond. I know Matt would agree, I as a North American respect my origins greatly. "Of the UK" does carry a large degree of "old English prestige" in many parts of the world, regardless of citizenship.

But yes, certainly. Targeting the advertising for the UK would be the most cost effective.

Looks good, but i would use the brand color, so people sees everything is in the same color (logo, website, banner, etc) and has no doubts that is SLG what we are promoting

Definetly, UK the easiest and cheapest place to get introduced first place.

How is this looking, https://i.imgur.com/iczGa3O.png ?

I admit, it is dark.

previous one is "cleaner"
you dont need to put that info in the banner.
The objective of the banner is to make them click on it so they see your website (where you have all the info)
Please make one using brand color (same grey as in the logo)

I am getting some additional feedback in the facebook group also. I will just have another go at it, based on all the feedback.

Thanks everyone! The feedback is appreciated.

Obviously more than happy here, but I would suggest to start making some noise so the community starts growing slowly.

We dont want to grow from 0 to 100 in one week. It's better to start moving slowly...

Just a suggestion and my point of view

How do you suggest we go about that?

I have been active on both fb and twitter, please share and retweet those.

We do have the DOT reserved for the cryptopia tipping. If the community agrees, I can go ahead with that.

As I've previously said, I would go for advertising in Coinmarketcap a few days geotargeting UK.
That way, people involved in cryptos from UK know SLG is still alive and kicking.
Moreover, a lot of people barely involved in cryptos also visits the website, so that could bring new people into cryptos
( I would also suggest you to reach https://www.litebit.eu/en and ask to list SLG)
Geotargeting will make the investment more useful.

About tipping in cryptopia I dont see it really useful. Most of the people in the trollbox are just international speculators, what wont make them get really interested in the coin neither holding it for the long term
It could help PnD the price a little bit, but don't think that's what we are looking for.

To my knowledge, CoinMarketCap is $300 USD (~.23 BTC) for 48 hours of the top banner. I can accept donations on behalf of the Sterlingcoin dev team at BTC: 1Kq7F6ghbX1fTivcGSY9MjmDnYTXh9GErJ for this purpose.

Litebit.eu has been contacted. I will relay any response I receive.

I mention tipping because we have raised 80k DOT for promotional purposes on cryptopia. The "featured currency" for a week is 250k DOT and is the next price-level promotion for sale at 'paytopia'. We could raise the bar and go for that if the community would prefer.

Thanks for the input, Rw13enlib88. Sorry if I made you repeat anything.

We are not able to add this coin because the volume is not high enough. We might be able to add the cryptocurrency in the future.

I cannot see how tipping and faucets would attract interest more than maybe giving a temporary thrill that certainly don't last.

I believe in close communication with those that are interested in the project (for example Slack) and a limited public communication (twitter, facebook, articles etc.).
Why limited public communication: I personally don't trust projects that "spams" social medias everyday with nonsense updates such as "Grab the last coins before...".

Litebit.eu was the place where I bought my first Sterlings, must have been in the begging of 2015. ....Walking down the memory lane.... Smiley
