Big fat warning to everyone who is mining on the P2Pool nodes. Apparently some of the nodes haven't updated their wallet yet (look at the 50% DOA of the pool).

p2pool node smc.coinpools.de:9585 is up to date, too.

I discussed this issue with the P2Pool devs, the P2Pool network will automatically fragment between the good and the bad part and you will still get paid your shares as long as you mine on the good nodes.

Can just repeat this: DOA on other nodes don't affect your payout if you're mining on a correctly configured node.

So be smart, mine on a pool that has announced they updated already or your work is for nothing. Check if you are getting DOA on your pool!

To all the P2Pool node owners: please update your wallets!!!

Freily P2Pool node is already up-to-date :-) Be on the right side of the fork!

P2Pool (1% fee) up here:

http://smartcoin.freily.com:9585

If you want to mine on it just use an address of your own as username, password doesn't matter.

Example:
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o http://smartcoin.freily.com:9585 -u SWRAdrk56FgrGz3VFpwca4BJDSdNZfGb5y -p x

* No registration required!
* Your payout goes immediately to your wallet after the block drops, the confirmations will happen there

Incidentally, for people behind a proxy at work who want to check up on the pool, you can do so by using the HTTP port (don't use it for cgminer!)

Why not come new miners, the coin is in the top 5 all day - http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

perhaps because it is a new currency, the price is small and not so much quantity for 24 hours bought and sold on exchanges?Huh

Keep cool. 8h since KGW. Be patient and be happy to get some more easy to mine or cheap coins.

SMARTCOIN - who stole my wallet?

It was there, then it had gone.

It was hosted on your domain, which is also gone.

The Smartcoin domain is still there for me. It never had the online wallet on. There has been a ton of posts in this thread confirming it was a scam and the OP said not to use it for quite some time now. Sad that you lost your coins but you're directing your anger at the wrong place.

Is one of the pools still over 51%? smc.hash.so was it? I can't remember, but shouldn't people be aware of this potential problem?

smc.hash.so have ~50%+ now :/

Code:
Coin Pool rate Net rate Difficulty
smc 482.3 MH/s      864 MH/s   8.50960573

We need to look at these things

DEV - have you made any Tool for this?

Maybe the front post should highlight other, largish pools.  I've been splitting my mining between xHash and DedicatedPool.  Both are generally 40+ mhash and both have been problem-free for me.

It may also be worthwhile to remove hash.so from the post.  There's nothing wrong with them - I mined there before they started to become such a huge part of the overall rate - but we do need to balance the hash.

+1

Agree with removing them from the first post for some time.
