Why?
New wallet includes a number of amendments:
  • Kimoto's Gravity Well - smart algorithm changes the difficulty of digging.
Allows coin to protect against sudden changes hash power (anti multipool).
Digging coins will be more predictable in the long term.
  • significantly lower transaction fees.

Why update is necessary and mandatory?
Soon will be hard fork coin. Only new fork will be the official and continue working.
Be smart switch to the correct fork.

When?
Fork will come with mining block number 35000 for about 28-30 h

Current block number find at:

Would it be possible to have some kind of per-pool difficulty? Ideally it would give the best return on coins, the more spread out the hashing power is. Multipools and any other pools with a disproportionate amount of the total hashing power would give less coins than smaller pools so people would be better off moving to those smaller pools. It would need to be adjusted so everyone isn't forced to solo mine though. Maybe something like having a cap of 10% on the total hashing power, when it goes above this then the difficulty gets 1 added to it for every additional 1%. A pool with 51% of the hashing power would have its difficulty artificially raised by 41 over whatever the current network has.

We need a unique and noticeable color. PURPLE could be good, but a fresh LIMEGREEN could be nice as well.

Yes you have right. With something expensive, unique, noble, associate colors: purple, gold and black.

logo should be clear and simple. consisting of a small number of colors, good-looking in different sizes (and very small) and in grayscale.

In our marketing activities we should focus on the "smart" theme. This makes smartcoin special and in this way smartcoin is being different to other altcoins. We need long lasting attention, from miners, investors and user. A large part of the value is the brand awareness of a coin.

yes. now takes a vote on the coin (logo) post is somewhere on the forum.
presented there proposals are very similar to each other and to the first (current) logo (from OP)

I think purple would be definitely better then limegreen.

Maybe you are right. Even an ORANGE with GREY for the copy could be a good match.

I don't take issue with this, but professionally speaking any colour selections should keep in mind their impact on those with visual impairments / colour blindness.

Sure. Don´t use both colors in the logo - only if would be a dark grey with a light orange. But copy isn´t the logo <--- this is copy Wink

Enjoyed the big spread on CoinedUp between 014x sell and 011x buy, made some nice amount of coins. Now time to close the gap and let the price rise, come on people let's build the buywall up!

I like the "logo" - could be a first step to a new one. I though about the same sign with a light bulb and the "S" insight.

Here are some moods, styles or key-visuals for a new logo in this light bulb style:

What are you thinking?
Thanks. I'm not designer. My graphics skills is very poor Sad
And I like simplicity Smiley

Good work. We should build up on this idea. Simple is good. http://www.istockphoto.com/search/lightbox/14682638#47374ca

Some yesterday variations:

All based on free clipart: https://openclipart.org/detail/188607/idea-icon-by-ousia-188607

And your colors Smiley

We need a unique and noticeable color. PURPLE could be good, but a fresh LIMEGREEN could be nice as well.

And oldest coin variation: http://freesmc.tk/coin2.png

Best Regards

In my opinion a more unique logo with the concept of "smart" would be nice to have. And we need more color. You can´t see our logo between the others. The reason to have a logo is to build up a certain image and that the ppl. recognize you. With a grey one it´s not really possible.

In our marketing activities we should focus on the "smart" theme. This makes smartcoin special and in this way smartcoin is being different to other altcoins. We need long lasting attention, from miners, investors and business / shops. A large part of the value is the brand awareness of a coin.

Maybe something like the brown one with an other color. (It´s just a mood!!!)

If we have such a logo, we can use it as the key-visual in all our marketing activities. (Just a mood!!!)

I'm convinced this coin will explode just because of simple math, 2.5 million coins is scarce and any coin on coinmarketcap in this same level has generally experienced growth of a few dollars. I mean come on, how can Ybcoin be at $3.31 with a million coins and Smartcoin not reach at least $1.50? Especially having a much more catchy name and a better fundamental technology behind it. I snagged a few thousand while they were dirt cheap myself because I believe in its potential.

+1

Totally agree.

13 GH/s ... Come on seriously ?

8.5 hours to Kimoto  Cool

Is that right? with this diff?

I still mining SMC, but it is too slow now Sad Im really curious what happend after kimoto.

Can anyone with experience tell us some predictions? Roll Eyes

Sure why not? It´s ø 40 sec.

Est. Avg. Time per Block 32.85 seconds

My calculation (correct me if im not right)

We are now at block 32,117 so 2883 blocks left to Kimoto

2883* 32.85 (average) =94707s /3600 = 26,3 hour to BigBang ....

Yes, you´re right. Made a mistake.

If some hashing power remains to solve blocks at this diff...

I'm actually wondering if this is a genuine multipool or an attack on smaller altcoins. It makes no sense for the multipool to go any further than diff 20-25 before buggering off because it's wildly unprofitable beyond that point. To push it all the way to 121 they're losing more potential earnings than they are making. This is what I meant with the diff swings becoming dangerously large, with every hit the diff was pushed higher (and fell lower) it's the same way you sink a ship by running a group of people left to right.
