A stupid question from a Noob: Is it somehow possible to get rid of the chat window in the wallet?

I am not much of a chatter, also combined with excessively "colourful" TalkCoin logo, when I open the wallet, I have a distinct impression of having arrived to some comic strip adolescents'  chat.

Otherwise, the coin is fine. I love NIST5. Very stable and performant algo for 290X, compared to X11 and X13.

For now is impossible I think. It would be possible is dev adds and option in the wallet to hide it.

if block reward is 1 and price is too high, do u guys seriously think anyone will use the chat channel to talk using 1 TAC ? If nobody is using the channel to chat , what's the point of this coin ? That is the main feature and nobody is using it. Maybe this will turn into another heavy coin.

Also, take note that TAC has no coin supply limit. Meaning there could be 100 billion coin. If people spend coin to talk, there shouldnt be any supply limit. OP didnt state there is max supply. Only state yearly supply. Means unlimited coin supply.

1. Everybody is using the chat.
2. The price for chat could change depending of the price and reward. Confirmed by dev.
3. The price for chat and voting system could be decided for the community in the next update with another voting system. Confirmed by dev.
4. Coins to talk will be or destroyed, or redistributed with a p2p lottery. Confirmed by dev.
5. It's true that for now there is not supply limit. But to get 100 billions coins you need 2777 years more or less.

What about open the voting system just for 1 block time to avoid multiple votes per person?

Just everybody should use auto-voting.

It will be nice to hear some updates from Dev

Hi, we are working on a big release for end of June.  We are just finalizing the details so I will announce later.

Waiting  Smiley

How many TAC for block reward would you vote, atleticofa?  Wink

I can't even believe that Ignition75 opts to vote 1 TAC.  Shocked

I will vote for 15, it's the block reward that I want.

Should I create 100 wallets and vote for the reward I want? It costs me a few hours and 1000 TACs maybe but it's what I call voting manipulation. Somehow we only have around 100 votes everytime.

Somehow I know that TAC is not in the top profitable anymore but I can't stop myself mining TACs. Am I addicted to TAC? Sad

I nee some serious help! Everything worked fine until I upgraded everything. Now when I launch SGMINER it will come up and immediately freeze/reboot my PC. Happens on 3 rigs... I used Display Driver Uninstaller and removed all AMD drivers and folders. I then installed the new 14.6 drivers. I updated my SGMINER as listed on the first page to the latest and greatest. I have everything setup fine for my .bat file, I have my shaders set, and removed everything for intensity and thread-concurrency. It doesn't make a difference. I even removed MSI afterburner and installed the AMD SDK just in case. Nothing make a difference. It always launches, gets to the mining interface and then crashes the rigs. Any ideas as to what this could be?
Config file please or test this

After a long and tideous battle I narrowed things down. I have 4 other rigs without integrated graphics. If I installed 14.6 drivers and ran the nist5 sgminer, all went well with the increase in hashrate. The 3 rigs with the problem have amd integrated graphics which won't allow me to disable even in the BIOS... So I downgraded to the 13.11 Beta drivers and was then able to use the new miner. I get 5.25 MH each on my MSI R9 270x's and 4.05 MH on my Gigabytes 270's. Idk if this is even close to what the new speeds are but it is all I can get. I must add that I did put --device 0,1,2,3 in the config to disable internal graphics. Did not help a bit. It appears that is where it hangs because when it creates the .bin file, it causes issue. Even if I copy the old file, it does not matter. I am going to dig in the BIOS again when I have time and see if it can be turned off. I didn't see anywhere but I am also frustrated and tired lol.

Anyway to mute the sound when a chat comes through?

Start the wallet with the -nosound parameter.

Where does the 1 TAC go for each chat?

To the devs, it will all be destroyed or else redistributed through p2p games in the future.

how to mine it?

Using the miner that's linked to in the first post.
