I've downloaded the 64 bit wallet but it doesn't seem to be doing anything, is there anything I need to do to get it working ? I'm a complete newbie so any instructions would be thank fully received, in easy to understand language please, thank you,

open it.
check bottom right corner to see if it gets any connections. may take a few minutes!
if it fully sycnhronizes then thats it, nothing left to do, if not report back to me.
