what version cg miner should i download if i'm running win 8.1?

Mine solo until there will be pools! Open wallet, close it. Put .conf in your appdata coin folder, edit solo-miner.bat (downlad and unpack miner) by adding your username/pass (from .comf file) and gpu settings. Start wallet again, wait until it syncs and start solo-miner.bat. If your best shares parameter changes means you're solominig successfully!
Pools are not ready but will be ready soon!

usename and pass are what you put in the conf file you moved to the roaming folder.
I've been mining solo for a little while now, and it's working great.
Like i said: zeuspool.com is almost done setting up the pool. It will be a lot easier once we are complete. standby!

It is not that easy to setup scrypt jane pool. Right now it's ok to mine solo, everyone has equal chances to get blocks. One of the best launches I've seen.
Diff is switching fast, no instamining on start. It's not dev's fault that a lot of miners are completely not famillar with scrypt jane algo mininig and with solo mining.

IMHO the concept of premine/reward should be changed - I agree to 1.5 % of all coins - 1.5% of every block (at least the devs would earn something all the time so they would/should try to make it valueable) - and not forget about it after a week - because 90%+ of the "premine" would be earned later.. !
But not 90+% of all coins issued at the beginning.
