Upfiring will be resuming all project activities (marketing, development, the roadmap) on Monday, August 24th 2020. An update for the dapp (Upfiring 1.2.1) will be released on this date as well that will improve connections via patching a small bug experienced by some seeders.

Upfiring 1.2 will be released on Monday, March 2nd, 2020 for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. This version patches all issues with scaling from prior versions and optimizes the application's performance massively, with files of several GB able to be uploaded and seeded in just seconds.

The C++ module has been integrated to the Upfiring dapp and file downloading is working as expected. We are currently working on getting the decryption protocol working properly with the new add-on.

Development Update: We've made a significant breakthrough regarding the file download issues for our next major release, Upfiring 1.2, and have solved the issue. The final issue to tackle before release is a bug within the decryption protocol.
Paid torrenting is among top3 usecases in crypto. Upfiring will be yuge!
Progress on Upfiring 1.2 continues. We've updated Web3 and made a series of other developmental changes the past few days that should help further improve the stability of this release upon launch

We have separated downloading/decrypting into separate processes in NodeJS in the Upfiring dapp, as running it in the browser (Electron) was causing issues. In Upfiring 1.2, downloaders will be able to locate files and decryption keys from seeders with high speed and precision.
