could the attack on dedicated today be related to them being one of the main pools for AC and other new coins that have turned out to have bad code?

Jessus why do people keep DDOSINg dedicated , pool another whole day wasted, same thing happend with whitecoin for as many coins as dedicated pool mines thier infrastucture is really weak
whole day wasted? you dont have even 1 backup pool in your config?
i've got 3 back up pools for every coin i mine.

I mean I've been thinking it for days... We're not all code readers and the respected pools are our first line of defense, a pool the size of dedicated could easily pay someone to vet a coins source code before they add them. I kind of assumed they would already as well as the exchanges. If a coins developer is confident in their product they'd have no problem standing by their work and submitting it for some scrutiny.... some one could make a good business out of being a reputable coin vetter

No, it's just one of the biggest attacks they have had all year. Go to their irc for better info instead of shittalking those who are trying to keep up a decent pool.
