Just to clarify, what I'm currently mining is just test Verium and will be lost when it goes live?

Just Testnet now, coins will be lost when mainnet launches and real mining will begin.

Verium 1.0.2 is available which corrects the UI display for the network hashrate and thus corrects the block hit estimator: http://www.vericoin.info/ico.html
No need to clear block data or anything just install.  Mac still being worked on, thanks for patience.

Is it normal to have 600H then drops to 30H then back to 600? The hashrate refreshes only about twice/minute so I'm not sure for how long those drops actually happen. Anyone share their scores ? I have i5 2500k 4.4ghz 535h 3core, 680h 4core but bigger drops.

When blocks come in or threads handoff speed can drop for a few seconds or so. UI updates every 30 seconds so it can seem longer but isn't. Look at your processor usage to confirm.

OK then its fine, cpu use doesn't drop at all.
Anyone share their hashrates?

When will be official launch? And listing on exchanges. Missed the ICO opportunities so want to buy on exchanges.

If you were on testnet1 make sure you deleted everything including wallet.dat from testnet1.  If you did or weren't on testnet1 it should sync up soon, also make sure you are using testnet2 wallet 1.0.1.
I was on testnet 1 and deleted all the files as mentioned before and downloaded the new version 1.0.1
and I am still having the same issue.
Could somebody else with the same scenario verify please
